Gosh. There are some seriously bad contestants this season. I'm just embarrassed for Paige, Andrew, and that one dude who wants to be a Jonas brother. What do you guys think?

Oh, and Steve and I really liked DiDi tonight and were surprised the judges were so harsh on her. WTF?

It's not over yet for me (Andrew just performed), but good lord are they terrible tonight!  It's killing me.  So far, Crystal is the only one who has been decent.

I love Crystal. I liked DiDi too!! I wasn't too surprised with what the judges said though...they usually say either the opposite of what I think or the opposite of what they said last week. haha.

they LOVED katie and HATED didi and i thought didi was better than katie. go figure. crystal, big mike, and siobhan are all great.

I didn't think Didi was that bad either. Her arrangement of that song was a little weird though but I thought she sounded ok. Maybe this was one of those cases where it sounded different to the judges live than it did on TV? Crystal was probably my favorite though!

I feel like Crystal is trying a little too hard.  But it may just be because she reminds me of all the kids I went to college with, whom we called 'Trustafarians'- rich white kids with dreads who hung out on the quad playing guitar and hacky sack.

I know that denying it is useless, but I seriously don't know that many popular songs.  Now, if M&L quoted showtunes, then you'd have me pegged...

I do, however, think that Idol has run its course and needs to be put out of its misery.

Yeah, I have no idea if she's rich or not.. or if she plays hacky sack   She just reminds me of those kids and they irritated me.

Ooh, DiDi was just on here- I loved it!  How did they not like her?  I love her voice.

Crystal is from Oak Harbor, Ohio and I really don't think she comes from money at all. They showed her dad last week, at his house and it didn't look all that great. I think she is very tallented and it really came out tonight.   She also has a little boy, they showed him early in the season but I forget how old he is, maybe 5-7 ?

I guess I was unclear that she only reminded me of those kids physically.  I know nothing about her, I wasn't disparaging her.  I like her.

Tonight was terrible.  I liked Lee, Crystal, Didi, and Katie okay...  but man, poor Paige.  She was miserable.  Also, I think if Andrew hadn't done Straight Up in the audition, he wouldn't even be there, and America is starting to catch on.

I haven't watched tonight yet, but my favorites by far are Siobhan and Crystal.  They are pretty much the only ones I like.  And Lee looks like an ex of mine, who was really funny, so I like him too.

Yes!  Not only is it deep but she speaks so masculine.  I keep picturing her as a middle aged woman in a roadside bar in a tight leopard tank top with permed hair and frosted highlights chain smoking and drinking beer and shots of Jack and hittng on young boys.

Oh no!  That sounds like a poorly dressed version of myself minus the smoking and the beer!

I don't see her choices as safe...I see them as reflective of her taste.  Thats where these others screw up...they try to do some big, peppy crowd pleasing song and they end up looking like wannabe kareoke stars.  I think she is amazing.

And also definitely not a rich kid.  She does not have the teeth of a rich kid.  They have obviously done some work to brighten her teeth, which were almost gray.  I think she is still self conscious about the gaps on the side and that is why she is not all huge bubbly smiles up there.
