I finally caught up with last weeks episode and now I'm watching this weeks episode. They have strayed so far from the books that now I'm wondering if they are going to completely change things up.

Entire plots are different now... characters have been changed drastically. This is so weird to watch.

I've heard the same thing about Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl.

I just started recording the series, so i'll have to go home and watch it.

I'm starting the Vampire Diaries soon... according to my library's online catalogue it's in transit. I haven't been watching the show, btu I figure I have all summer to find it online or get the dvds when they come out in September.

Movies and shows rarely stay very close to the original book but my goodness, it's sort of surreal. I wonder if this is what it's like for those who have read the Sookie Stackhouse books and then see Jessica on True Blood.

Yeah, there are... 8 books, I believe. I thought I was caught up, but I found out today I'm one book behind. :(
The books are really good. If yuo like the show, I recommend reading them, if only to read more about the characters and the town.
