I only will shop for clothes now in stores that have candle lit dressing rooms!
  • TLV, I was just now able to read the I Judge post. And I'm in tears, too.

I was with her, as well as J. He wore sunglasses so no one but me (and Maggie) saw his tears.  That's the way I wanted it - to be with her. Its the way it should be. Even now I'm in tears.

    I'm sorry; I'm not helping................ :(

I'm totally impressed with your weight loss efforts. I have no willpower in the wintertime. I put on about 15 pounds last winter - I called it hibernation. It did come off over the summer with cycling, thank God.

  • tlv, I was in the BEST shape of my life from 31-34.  Now, at 37, I'm in a slump so I feel your pain.  You'll come out of it!

I don't know if this cheers you up, but here is whale I saw in cabo:

    Bi-oh-rama
    Now with more wedded bliss.

I don't get married often, but when I do, I do it in Las Vegas.

  • I'm going to second smokey on this one.  I too was in the best shape of my life in my 30s but it was from 34-40.  Then I met H.  Damn him and the happy contented weight gain... ;-)

  • That does give me hope :) Maybe I just have too many skinny friends. Also H eats like a dump truck and is still thin, so although I know it's not logical, that doesn't help either.

Life isnt perfect, neither are people. It takes a truly horrible person to judge such a small action and say such disgusting things. You think her eating is enough to make you throw up in your mouth? Your personality and attitude makes me want to vomit. You are just a disgusting individual and your opinions will catch up to you. But if it makes you feel better about yourself to be so rude when someone was just asking for advice, good for you. That will catch up with you too.

I hope to God this girl is real (albeit twisted), and not an AE trolling. It pains me to think that I may be conversing in a positive manner with someone so digustingly lacking in concern for others' emotions.

And presuming you are a real, non AE person, I don't recall tlv ever indicating that she's eaten terribly her whole life or that her exercise consists of 10 minutes a day on the treadmill. Looking at her pictures, I would be surprised if her BMI is above the healthy weight cut off of 25. If you were honestly looking to be a 'voice of reason', perhaps a good start would be basing that reasoning upon her descriptions of the issue rather than your presumptions? Wanting to be upfront to create change requires knowing the facts before throwing your perception of the situation on the table. Given that you made no effort whatsoever to do inform yourself as to tlv's situation, using the excuse of trying to motivate through insults is ridiculously transparent.

So, you think it's your job to save her from herself by being a total asshole for no reason? That's cute.

Like Sun said, TLV is probably not even out of the average category on the BMI scale and that's obvious from her pictures. She does not need to be saved. She just needed some pointers and encouragement.

You just wanted to be a cvnt for no reason. Congratulations. Mission accomplished.

  • I hope daffodil chokes on her carrot stick and her big bitchy attitude today, right after someone calls her ugly and disgusting.

TVL, do you have a trainer? You could investigate the GIS board and other web sites and see if you can shake your workouts up a bit. Mix in some strength training and yoga with cardio, and focus on stretching and really warming up those muscles before you work out. Keep up your good work, take in tons of water and you should start noticing change. Are there any sports you've been interested in but never had the time/nerve to try? See if you can find a spring league to get into. If these changes don't work, then I would see a doctor about possible thyroid or stress-related weight gain.

Pay no mind to useless fuckingfucks who offer no help and simply comment to make themselves feel less ugly. We all struggle with parts of our appearance. Those who struggle with god awful less than human character are far worse off than you. Daffodil is going to have a much harder time losing that gigantic chip on her shoulder than you ever will dropping a few pounds.

Hang in there! You are beautiful.
