RD invites with wedding invites?

Hi Ladies,

Quick question: is it considered bad etiquette to include RD invites in the wedding invite? I'm torn because I don't want to confuse people by putting too much in the one envelope, but we're getting calls from OOT guests who we are inviting to the RD and they are trying to book flights and such now. I'm also thinking it would be easiser for them to have all the info in one spot so they won't have to hunt for a separate RD invite.

I've seen it done both ways.  I think its just personal choice.  But if you do add in the rehearsal dinner invites, make sure that won't change your postage for those specific invites.

I've also seen it done both ways, but I would triple check to make sure that the RD budget/venue/etc is set before I put RD invitations in with the wedding invitations, because once you invite someone, you can't uninvite them.

Or you could do two sets of RSVP cards, one for those invited to RD, and one for not.  Have an insert with information of RD in the invitations to those invited and then a spot on the response card to accept or decline.

We are also doing this.  We are only inviting WP and S/O's to the RD so there won't be too many that go out like that.<div>

With all the "guests will talk" advice on theknot, I'd be wary. It sounds like your rehearsal dinner is on the bigger side, but is it impossible anyone invited to the rehearsal dinner will mention it to someone not invited? "It was helpful how LRV included the rehearsal dinner invites with the regular wedding invites" "Rehearsal dinner invitation? I didn't get one." "Oh, LRV must have left yours out by mistake. It happens. You should call her and clarify." Awkward.

Thanks ladies. We're only inviting WP and SOs to a restaurant down the street from the church (about 30 total), but most of our WP is OOT.

<div>I think most people have a general idea of who usually is and is not invited to the RD. Someone's coworker should not get all butthurt if Grandma was invited.</div>

I did mine separately only because I wanted to see who  RSVPed yes to the wedding before I sent out the rehearsal dinner invites to save myself money.
