<div>I don't have siblings and my only sibling-in-law who isn't a spoiled brat is 22.  So I'll stick with getting paid to entertain children for a few years!</div>
  • ZOMG, Orange Push-Ups. I'm getting some next time I go to the grocery store.
  • H doesn't really cook. He slaps some meat in the oven (usually frozen, pre seasoned chicken) along with some form of frozen potato (fries or tots usually) and that's it. Like, that's pretty much all he ever makes. He is really looking forward to me being there. I actually LIKE to cook.
  • Not so much preconcieved ideas, just when you saw it, did you have ideas of what to do. We're looking at one venue that is great in many ways, I just have no idea of decor at all. Poke, I totally don't want to spend a fortune on decor either.  Erin, how awesome. Not really an option for us unfortuantely.
Also, Orange Push Ups are delicious.

I like other people's kids.  I'm usually a great aunt, and it helps that I enjoy taking them to kid's movies, spoiling them, and taking them to the local children's museum, and then I get to return to them.  I'm actually a little sad, because I haven't been able to see my niece and nephews for a few months.  I think the two older ones are with their mom, but the youngest is going to be turning 1 at the end of this month and because of issues between my sister and BIL they haven't been around as much.

Also, I chose my venue because it was beautiful, is outdoors but with a place to go inside, and all I am doing are centerpieces and like 12 hanging lanterns.

<div>Do you have many of them? </div><div>
</div><div>I have a ton. When I was younger we were "Aunt & Uncle NoKids" so we spoiled the N&N like crazy. Even though we have our own kids now, we are still the faves. It's the best!</div>

  • All this push-up talk made me go to the freezer to see what we've got. I found the red velvet B&J I forgot I'd purchased. Woot.
  • We picked our venue b/c it was within walking distance of the church.  And because they had an in-house caterer, so we didn't have to worry about booking one, or renting tables, chairs, linens, etc.  It was some serious one-stop shopping.  Plus it was beautiful.

  • MUNI, your H is the bomb. Fi will ocasionally make turkey tacos, or put something frozen in the oven. I like to cook so it's generally fine, though I do wish he'd branch out a bit.

  • Husbands that like to cook? The idea of this baffles me.

My husband's idea of cooking is reheating the pizza from the night before in the microwave.

</div><div>I only have two "real" nieces, but my cousins have kids that are little and get confused so we're Aunt and Uncle to them as well. I have six little kids that consider me Auntie Erin. I love it because they all live near here. In fact, I'm babysitting two of them tomorrow!

  • My H cooks.  I usually end up being the one to cook, but when he gets home first or has a weekday off, he cooks.  I couldn't imagine living with a man who couldn't/wouldn't cook.

  • Evening all!

I decided to come down to the basement and get the laundry out of the dryer and decide how much of it needs to get packed for camp.

FI cooks when I work late and we want to eat before 9pm.  He made stir-fry a few weeks ago, and it was delicious.

  • My H can cook some stuff. He usually cooks the meat while I do sides. Yesterday he brought me a tuna sandwich for lunch and I nearly gagged on the damn thing. Who the hell puts shredded mozzarella cheese in a tuna sandwich?
  • Some of the best ice cream I have ever had in my life. Ben & Jerry's Red Velvet Cake ice cream. It tastes like heaven.
  • Oh, I have to go. Goodnight, ladies! :) Enjoy your moscato on me behalf! :)
  • BIL is here!  Off for the evening.  Have a good night, ladies!

  • oh, that does sound magical, poke.
  • I'm anti-spoiling kids.  I refuse to buy my goddaughter toys because her grandma is ridiculous and buys her EVERYTHING.  She gets tie-dyed things from me.

  • FI loves to cook, which works out, since I hate it. I need to learn before I have kids though, since I'm pretty sure feeding them is a requirement.

Erin, I wonder if you would hate the tuna my family makes. I grew up on tuna that had sugar and miracle whip in it.  Everyone I have encountered has told me it is weird.  Eh, a friend of my dad's when he was little ate it that way and my dad liked it, so it was what I ate when we had tuna.
