Happy Tuesday

Good Morning everyone! I seemed to have walked into a sh*t storm at work today, so this could get fun. Other then that, it's a great day. How are you fabulous ladies today?

Re: Happy Tuesday

• I am AWESOME! I took the day off to play in a golf scramble for charity. However, the weather looks like it's gonna be pretty scary today, so I'm hoping it holds off or get it out of it's system before 1 pm.

• Days off in the middle of the week rock! I hope the weather holds out for you so you can golf. I wish I knew how to golf. I went once in Myrtle Beach and I kid you not I shot like a 234. Not even sure why I kept counting my strokes.
• Rut roh Stacks. What's the dish? I'm nosy like that, having no work shitstorm to walk into!

Otherwise, I'm kind of eh today. Have a headache and my knees are killing me. Looks like it's going to be a simple kinda day for me!
• Good morning! H didn't have to go into work 'til later today, so he threw me off of my normal morning routine, but other than that, seems like a good day so far.
• You know Amoro I'm not quite sure what the sh*t storm is just yet. I walked in and the Office Manager said yesterday was all kinds of bad and that everyone had problems everywhere and he was afraid today was going to be the same. Then I get to my desk and hava a few notes from some places saying I never sent them things, but my manager had already pulled fax confirmations where I HAD sent them things. So it wasn't anything I did, but now I get to redo work. I'm nosey too though and am curious to see what everyone elses problems are.

This one girl in our office just got written up last week for leaving in the middle of the day for 3 hours and not telling anyone she was leaving, but then claimed OT on her timesheet. Her response when they wrote her up was that she'll be sure to let them know next time she has to change her tampon. Classy!
• Good morning all! I'm going to get coffee stat. I did NOT want to get out of bed and come to work this morning. Stupid work.

Oooh... interesting. And gross about that girl. Why the hell would you leave for 3 hours without telling anyone? It's so easy, and just plain stupid not to.

Because you want to claim OT, duh.

I am concerned about work blowing up in my face, and I really don't want to have to work hard. It's not my style!

• Good morning!

I think I'm the only person in CT wishing for a huge thunderstorm today. Anything to break the heat wave. Looks like I'm going to get my wish. But I hope that it goes over you guys fast, Fish, so you can play golf.

• We had another storm blow through last night and had windgusts up to 30 mph. All the stuff on our deck was blowing around!
• I am off today, so that makes me happy. I was going to go to the DMV to change my license, but I have a 1pm appt, and I'm not too confident that I'll be done by then. And it just does not sound like fun today.

See, that's overkill. Little too much. I just want some damn rain. The grass here is so parched, it looks more like late August than mid-July.

• Morning laaaadies :) It's another yucky rainy day in DE. It's ok, the grass is brown and I'd rather it rain during the week while I'm at work. Although the little road I normally take to cut from the highway to my office was flooded so I had to go the long way around.

Also, the wedding is one month from tomorrow and I'm seriously ready for it to be here NOW. I'm tired of thinking about escort cards and card boxes while I'm trying to go to sleep. I don't want to make any more decisions. This month is going to take for-ev-er. Speaking of which, does anyone have any ideas for card boxes?

• Good morning!

FI and I stayed up way too late last night, so I'm dragging ass today. I've convinced him to watch 24 from the start (he has only watched since Season 7)... so we've been Netflixing it and yesterday we got the 2nd disc of Season 2.

Note to self: you can't just watch one episode of 24. We ended up staying up past midnight finishing the disc!
• Today seems off for me. For starters, I ate doughnut for breakfast. Who does that? I walked into Dunkin Donuts, ordered my coffee and then added a Boston Creme donut to my order like I do it everyday.

I also barely slept last night and I want to kill someone today. I'm hoping everyone at work leaves me alone today.

Anyways, good morning!

[QUOTE]TR - I made my cardbox, but I'd go with a birdcage if I were you. Its quick and simple. Hobby Lobby has one online for $20. http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/decorative-bird-cage-card-holder-294454/ Just add some ribbon and you're done.

Nice, thanks for the link :) I've ventured over to the DIY board, but it really just makes me feel inferior, haha. I'm still working up the nerve to order iron-on rhinestones to make a mongrammed hoodie.

• Morning! I get to go to the SS office today so J can fill out some paperwork. Fun times!

Hope you ladies have a sparkling day!
• Yeah, the only things I have to do are the escort cards and that will just involve writing names and using a rubber stamp. And I have FI recruited to do the stamping while he's at home all day :) I won't let him write the names though, his handwriting is atrocious.

• TR, I made a cardbox out of a box for photographs that I got from Joann Fabrics, and some scrapbooking flowers. FI wants me to add something to the top of it, probably names or the date or whatever, but it's almost done. PIB. The whole thing (the box, flowers, and the glue for my glue gun) cost $6.99.

But if you want something quick and easy, I agree, the birdcage is the way to go.

• My card box ended up being a silver tray. We bought it at Target, and then forgot to take it to the reception venue, so the cards were alllllll over the table. Which was fine, because we got no actual gifts. Just envelopes. I will never stop being bummed about that!
• Amoro, that sounds so pretty, simple, and classy. I'd be pissed too!

Also, there was a storm yesterday that produced high winds. I thought the table umbrella was going to fly away (it was still "up"). Watching it twist, turn, and gain air from the third floor was kind of bad ass.

• Aaaand completely out of nowhere my mother just emailed me and decided that today is the day that she is going to lecture me on what she believes is proper ettiquette for the RD guest list.

RD invites are going out, which probably sparked this. We closed this issue 6 months ago when FI and I decided that we want an intimate RD with just the WP and immediate family and since we're paying for it, that's what we're doing.

Mom just emailed me, "I certainly understand your thought process on the RD but etiquette calls for immediate family and ALL OOT guests to be included - just in case anyone asks you." (All OOT guests would end up at around 90 people, rather than the 40 we've decided on.)

Thanks, mom.

I responded with a link to TK's RD Q&A which says there are no rules. Hehe.
• Morning. I've felt blobby yesterday and today. I'm hoping it goes away at some point. Tonight we have to go to the IL's for my H's b-day dinner, so that'll be a three hour deal. Awesome. It's rainy here too, but not rainy enough apparently. I was looking at our yard this morning and about 80% is dead brown grass. At least the entire neighborhood looks like that and not just us.

I'd have sent her a spreadsheet with the breakdown of how much the extra 50 guests was going to cost you AND where to send the check.
• Yeah, your mom's nuts AK, no way are you obligated to invite all OOT guests. We're just having the bridal party, their dates, the officiant & his wife and our parents. We're not even inviting our siblings.

LOL! I seriously considered pulling out the "why don't you pay for it then?" response... but seriously. 6 months ago (at Christmas.. I remember this vividly) we got in to a heated discussion about the whole thing, FI and I made the decision that we want it smaller, and we expressly closed the issue.

I don't feel like rehashing the whole thing... when she responded to the email again she changed the subject. So it seems I've shut her up.

I did have to pull the spreadsheet on her back when we were finalizing the total guest list though.
