Passport Name Change

For those ladies out there that have changed their name on their passport:I went to the government website and in regards to name change fees, there are two websites that keep referencing each other and neither has the fee! I know that if the passport was issued within a year then it's free, but my passport is a few years old. I would like to get all this in line and was hoping that someone has already done it so that I didn't have to call them. We all know how long they like to put you on hold! TIA!

You are going to have to pay a fee to change your name on your passport if it was not issued in the last year. You will need to use form DS-82 assuming your passport was issued when you were 16 years of age or older and was issued in the last 15 years.
