Oh yeah -(and check my ETA!) - she didn't know she was KU - and got neg tests and things - but she's also a bit of a moron when it comes to her body (bet she doesn't know the placenta comes out after the baby *rimshot!*) but I wish she hadn't had any alcohol because the kid is all effed up now. But she claims she legit didn't know. (I dont exactly believe her)
SPEAKING OF. Didn't FEZZ get extraordinarily WASTED at the DC G2G? And find out she was with child the next week?  It was a Kiki hunt, pure and simple.
    Posted by louisvillebride21
I have no doubt in my mind that it was a Kiki hunt to be honest.

But I see it no different than JessJo never being able to talk about her douchehusband again, or anyone else that's given reason to be railed on.

So...there's that.  (And for the record, I don't think I participated in any flaming of anyone drinking while pregnant, either knowingly or not, except I do think that maybe I said once to Mica or someone else that said it that advising someone over the internet they could potentially safely have one drink a week  while pregnant was a piss poor idea.  Or maybe I just thought that one.)

  • Look, no one is ever going to do a randomized controlled trial of specific amounts of alcohol consumption during pregnancy to figure out what amount is safe, so all we know is that if the mom doesn't drink at all, the baby won't have FAS, and if she drinks more than 4 drinks per day during the whole pregnancy, the baby very likely will.  Somewhere in between 0 alcohol and 4 drinks per day x 9 months is a happy medium.  We will never find that medium because no ethical person on this earth will run that study.

But... women drank while pregnant (a glass every so often) for most of western history, and somehow they still gave birth to normal people who were able to perpetuate society and mankind.  So think about that and let go of Kiki and Steph and whomever else has had the occasional drink while (knowingly or unknowingly) pregnant.
