This one is long... invitation etiquette

From almost the beginning of our engagement, my fiance and I decided we wanted to use our engagement photos for save the date magnets.  Problem is, we ran into a HUGE problem with our photographer, which resulted in us firing him.  It took us quite some time to find a new photographer and have engagement pictures taken.  Now that they're finally done, it's basically too late to send out save the dates because we have to send out our invites at the end of January.  My question is, since we were unable to do save the dates and include our wedding website, would it be tacky to include our wedding website address on our invites?  I know proper etiquette is to ensure you don't include where you are registered (I could never imagine doing that in the first place), but we have a lot of out of town (state and country, too!) guests that I am wanting to relay information to.  What is your opinion?  Wedding website on the invite or no?

  • We had 2 enclosures with our invitations - one was the RSVP card and the other was the reception info + hotel accomodations. We included the wedding website on the reception card.
