I was wondering if anyone knows how many stamps are required to mail your marriage license into the recorder's office? Our (ahem...lazy) officiant decided it would be better if we mailed it in ourselves and I'm not sure of the correct postage. TIA

They can tell ya when you go in to mail it. It probably depends on the size and how much it weighs?

Ours was just a normal stamp I think. Just a normal 8.5x11 sheet of paper folded in thirds in an envelope.

No such thing as a boring WR question! This is a wedding board, we embrace wedding related questions!!! Ok, that one was a boring question.
Really, I guess it depends on what size envelope you put it in and how much it weighs. If you fold it like a letter, probably one stamp, but I'm not sure because in PA we had to take it to the office personally.

Haha jessjo I warned you. I'll probably just take it down to the post office, since the envelope they provided to mail it in is bigger than a standard size envelope.

its gonna depend on how big it is and how much it weighs. just take it to the post office and have them put it in an envolope for you.

We had to mail ours.  It was just one stamp for us, because the license was a regular sheet of paper.

when you are mailing "stuff", five 8"x11" sheets of paper in one standard envelope is one first class postage stamp.

I think that stinks your officiant wouldn't do it for you.  I would just wait until you go to mail it.  Stop into the post office and have them weigh it.  I would have spent WAY more on postage for my invites if I hadn't gone to do that.
