TLC Show: Four Weddings

Has anyone seen it?  I kind of love it, not because I care who wins, just because I like to see the different weddings.

For those who have been missing out: four brides-to-be attend each others' weddings and rate them on different categories....the one with the highest score wins a free trip.

I would totally love to come to other weddings just to judge them!

I think it's kind of stupid, to be totally honest.  I wouldn't like my wedding to be judged and it bugs me that they would...and the fact that they attend and say nasty things, just irritates me.  sorry!

see i kinda hate the idea of the show.  Puts the 'wrong' frame around the day.  I wouldn't want to compete on my wedding day.  Though it does give ideas sometimes.

I also hate that whoever pays the most almost always wins.  Did you see the girl with the $150,000 dollar wedding?  That was nuts

oh no, i wouldnt want MY wedding judged (and i especially wouldn't want cameras following OTHER people at my wedding!) but i would like a reason to be totally judgemental about other people's events!   The most expensive one doesn't always win, but I also thought that $150,000 AC one was kind of cool...despite the performers (really, IMO a wedding is not a circus!)

I can't stand that in one show they'll have someone spending $50,000 and another spending $5,000. Obviously a budget wedding can be nice and fun, but when your judging venue and food, how is that fair.  I think that the show would be better if each episode, the girls had similiar budgets.  Or atleast the same per person cost since some have larger weddings than others.

I actually love the show too, when the brides are not being so catty.  I would have loved to have been able to attend other brides weddings.  But I love attending them.

I do agree that it's not so fair to have events in which the brides do not spend so much going head to head with very expensive events.  However, some of the episodes I have seen have not necessarily rated the most expensive events the best.  I think the best shows are when the brides are judging the other weddings etiquette-wise.  It really could give new brides a perspective on some of those faux-pas.

I'm a little hooked on the show but never in a million years would I participate. If I didn't win, then I would just be disappointed in my wedding day and would probably just end up feeling like no one liked it or it could have been a lot better. I'd be far more focused on the competition than enjoying my wedding and new husband. Plus, I hope TLC is paying for those three additional guests.

I love this show. I would never want to be on it but I love seeing other peoples weddings and getting ideas. I do have to say the girl who won last night shouldn't have. But it was so nice how the other three girls got along. I watch it every week!

I love the show just because it can give me ideas that I don't think of on my own. I would never want to be on the show, but I enjoy it.

Honestly, I think the idea is kind of silly.  You're competing to win a honeymoon, which means you're going to spend extra money which you... could have used to buy a nice honeymoon.

The one on the preview that started at 7:30am was insane, though.  Who starts their ceremony at 7:30?!

I like the show too.  I have to agree that making so that the budgets were fairly close would even the playing field a bit.  Last night's episode was the first episode that I've seen where one of the girls was acting bitchy.  Usually the girls seem to get along well and be supportive.  Other than the 7:30 a.m. wedding, nothing was wrong with the other weddings.

I really love the show.....mainly because I like seeing all the different styles of weddings.  I agree that the person spending the most doesn't always win and I like that!  I also think it isn't just about the money aspect with food and venue but how the guests are treated.  The one last week the girl had a beach wedding and served her guests cold, icky take out pizza while another girl with a smaller budget had a appetizers that were good (just not enough of them) and the second girl was ranked higher.  I think it's funny and sad when the girls get catty.  I didn't like last week's episode where the 21 year old virgin judged the other bride who had a lovely, touching and humorous ceremony because the bride was so happy she was giggling and had touching yet amusing vows. 

I also think its an interesting show because it clearly illustrates how controversial things are viewed, such as....cash bars, no alcohol, cheap or bad food, not enough food, not enough seating, gross garter displays, dollar dances, etc. 

I'm sad its the season finale next week!!

I don't like the judging part (and it annoys me that the girl who spent $150,000 on her wedding, who could obviously pay for a HM, won one), BUT I LOVE watching the show to get ideas...you always see something you never thought of before!
