Why do people get butthurt so easily?

I ask because I was lurking on weddingwire, and people are talking about b lists. After a very nice, civil discussion people were like "be careful, you could get reported". Dang people. I want to go back ot the world were people could take criticism (or just other opinions) without tattling. Geez.
