DJ Help

Hi everyone,I was supposed to go meet with All the Right Grooves tomorrow to talk about hiring them and had planned to give them a deposit.  My fiance had been talking back and forth with them trying to figure out when we could meet them, etc for a few months or so.  I wanted to go ahead and send my deposit (because its only $50), but I didn't because they had said that they would let us know if someone else was interested and give us the chance to send it in.  Well they just now called, and said that someone they talked to in April and hadn't talked to since, just sent in a deposit.  So, now we don't have a dj.  I'm pretty upset because everyone on here says they're the best.  Anyone know the next best thing?  I need a dj in the charlotte area.  I looked at the NC bio, but most of them don't have any comments.  Thanks.

what a bummer! i always hear people recommending joe bunn dj company.  joe bunn himself is pretty expensive from what i hear, but the others are just as good and cheaper.  ken was the dj at my friend's wedding this summer and he was really awesome! i'm sure girls who have actually used them can tell you some more information, but HTH!

Thanks! I'll look into that.  Does anyone know anything about 1st Carolina's DJs?  I saw them in the bio and I just checked online and they have our date available.

I'm not sure if joe bunn dj travels. But I would check it out, we used Ken Holmes from there and he was more than amazing. Price was $850 for 5 hours. 1st Caroline DJ's has very mixed reviews, personally from what I heard I would never mess with them. HTH!

I'm sorry to hear that about ATRG! :( how disappointing! The other DJ I was considering using was 1st Carolina DJs. I haven't had much experience with any of them yet, but I'm sure the other girls on here will help too! :) GL!

Thanks for all of your help so far!  We actually went ahead and contacted 1st Carolina's, but after your advice, I looked up reviews on wedding wire, and I don't think we're going to go that way.  I also emailed Joe Bunn, but I'm not sure if that will be in my budget or not seeing as how I need ceremony + reception music and there are fees for travel, lighting, etc.  We'll see.  I was excited about ATRG because everyone recommends them and they're reasonable in price.  I just wish they would have told us that someone else was interested as well.

We are using Lyvewyre and they are in Charlotte too. Several of our friends have used them and talked so highly of them it was really no question when it came time to book our DJ. The pricing is very reasonable too which is always a plus! http://llivingston3.photobiz.com/
