But this is important.  Sort of.

I'm charging my Kindle right now.  But I'm scared that it will die before our plane ride back (it usually lasts at least a month, but I usually don't use it as much as I'll probably use it on vacation, SO JUST IN CASE).  I don't have a wall charger for it, but my cell phone charger's plug in has the adapter for a USB cord.  Does that mean I can plug my Kindle's USB charger into the wall plug in thinger for my cell phone and plug it into the wall, or will it explode?

You should be able to.

You should be fine to do that. You're not plugging in to a european outlet where you'll need a converter. I'm pretty sure the USB port is in you cell phone charger for this very reason. My cell phone charger is the same way.

I use my phone charger for my kindle all the time. You should be all good.

My car cell phone charger has a USB port and I have charged my nook in it. I think you're good to go.

I've got the Kindle fire, I use my phone charger wall plug for it all the time. It hasn't exploded yet

I use the same cord for my phone, Kindle, and Fire, with a USB adapter for both the outlet at home and car charger.  WalMart sells a charger accessory kit with the dual USB car charger, plus all the cords.
