Table Linens for cake table/others

Our venue provides all white table linens. For the guest tables, we have decided not to use these and order linens in our colors (gold tablecloths, ivory chair covers, gold chair ties, and a purple table runner).

The tables they use for the cake table, escort card table, guest book table, etc are serpentine tables (the half moon shaped ones). The place where I am ordering my linens does not have the special linens for serp tables. I talked with them and they recommended using multiple rectangular linens for these tables, but it wouldn't drape correctly because of the curve of the table. The venue provides a white overlay for the top and white skirting around the tables.

My options are this:
1. Use the all white from the venue
2. Order the colors that will match the guest tables although it wouldn't drape properly
3. Use a color overlay for the table and then the venue's white skirting around

  • I can't even tell you what those tables looked like at the last few weddings I've been to.  I'd go with whatever is the least expensive/easiest.

  • Does the venue have ivory linens?  I know you said they have white, but many will have white or ivory.  If they have ivory then I would use theirs.  If not, then I voted option #2.

  • I'd just take their white skirting--it's what we did for my wedding and no one noticed or cared that the rest of the linens were ivory, burgundy and brown. You'll have plenty of other stuff ON the tables that will be in your wedding colors anyway.

Yup, this.  However, I wouldn't go with something that doesn't drape properly.  So B is out.  I think A sounds very classicly simple.  I don't really think I'm feeling the color and white thing, personally.  It sounds like A will be the cheapest, easiest option, and to me it would look the best.  At least in my head.
