She was supposed to hand out the programs but as of right now, I'm not sure if that is the first impression I want to give my guests. I am trying my darndest to not be a bridezilla, but wow! I have decided to not say a word to her and let her wear the dress and just say whatever about it! With all of the info I have given which is basically all of it, What do you guys think?

Ding, ding, ding! She may well be trying to steal your spotlight, but she's the one that's gonna look like a moron. Let her do it. And don't say anything. I promise you, all of your wedding guests will say plenty about it without you mentioning it, if she'll really stick out as much as you say she will.

Unless you are wearing a red dress, I don't see how you would think she's trying to steal the spotlight.  She did ask for your input and told her anything but white, so you can't really be mad now that it's red.

As far as the rest, I would just let it go.  If she asks your opinion of the dress, you could say it's a little formal for such a casual wedding, but tread lightly here.  You're family now and you don't want to hurt her feelings or cause drama or turmoil over this.  I certainly don't think you should exclude your own soon to be step-daughter from participating in the wedding or handing out programs.  What a slap in the face to her.  I don't think you want to start off your marriage by alienating your husband's daughter.
