  • I want ice cream. Well, frozen yogurt actually, but still. If this hooker sitting next to me won't get u and go with me, I'm going alone.

  • I told FI we need to, once or twice per year, get all dressed up and go to a super fancy dinner and then the symphony or something. I never get to dress up for anything, and I loooove getting dressed up. I would get married every year if I could, just to wear a super pretty dress and have my hair and makeup done.

  • Yeah, it's fun to play dress up.

I want some talenti. I'm trying to decide if it's worth dragging my tired ass to kroger to get some.
  • For some reason, I am wide awake right now. I'd go get ice cream for everyone, but you're all kind of far away...
  • Poke, what is Talenti?

<div>I would totally love this. Unfortunately, I don't think any places like that exist here.</div>
  • Okay, this is nothing against Jewish people. I'm just reading the Do I be Nice or Not thread and am getting to the part about the circumcision.

At what point did someone say "You know this little dangly thing at the top of our tallywhacker? We should cut that off." and how the eff did that catch on?

Again, I don't have anything against Jewish people - but that is so strange to me.
  • Wrigley, I would love to do that as well. Half the reason I was excited to be in my friend's wedding was to dress up and get my hair and makeup done. Granted, I wasn't thrilled with the makeup and obviously a bridemaid dress isn't anything spectacular, but still. I love getting all dolled up. I'm SO excited to wear my wedding dress.

From what I understand (from my Jewish friends), certain traditions like not eating pork and circumcision came about because the desert was such a dirty area. It was easy to catch disease from pigs, and keeping your peen clean is easier when circumcised.<div>

Wasn't that thread about the OP's mom inviting guests to her wedding without telling her and her wondering if she should still send thank you notes? How the heck did it turn into a discussion about circumcision?

I was completely prepared to go to Prom stag my junior and senior years. I was not missing out on getting dressed up with all of my friends. I did end up going stag Junior year and then had a date (just a friend) Senior year.

Who knows. We're getting that done for Nathan. Judge if you must, but H had it done as a baby and doesn't feel like he was mutilated or anything. It's said to be easier to keep clean and, I know a guy that wasn't, and he was bullied for it in the locker room for a long time. He wished his parents would have had it done on him.

We were telling EJ that she should quit giving advice on E since she doesn't know basic etiquette, and I said that her giving advice on E is the equivalent of me going on the Jewish Wedding board and giving advice when I know nothing about Jewish Weddings.

Edie was talking about what she knew about Jewish weddings, and circumcision came up.
  • Jess - I don't judge circumcisions. They make a lot of sense. Like I said, it just is strange to think about who first thought of cutting something off of themselves.

    Angel - E has it's ways.

I dated a couple guys who weren't circumcised. I actually thought it was super awesome and was terribly bummed the next time I dated a guy who was cut.

It seems to be more popular in the U.S. All of my Canadian and European male friends are uncut. (I know because we got into a conversation one day, not because I'm a hoar.) They told me it's totally an American thing and that they think it's silly since it's 99% for cosmetic purposes.
  • Holly - I love going to balls. My uncle is in a Krewe and I went to his ball last year - he was the reigning King : )

If you don't mind my asking, what was the difference in cut vs uncut? I've only been with H.
  • I'm not gonna lie, uncut kinda weirds me out. I came into contact with one or two in my day, although I didn't have sex with either of them, so I don't know if it changes anything in that department. If I'd become used to uncut ones first though, maybe cut ones would be weird to me, who knows.

The foreskin is designed to slide over the head, so hand jobs and such are more pleasurable for him and easier for the giver. (It's like having perma-lube.) Also, since the head is covered by the foreskin most of the time, it's much more sensitive (since it's not getting rubbed against fabric all day).<div>
</div><div>Plus, I just like the way it looks. It's like a neat little wrapped-up gift. ;)</div>

<div>Nah, uncut to cut isn't weird at all. I could definitely see how the other way around would be though. </div><div>
</div><div>Jess: I know you didn't ask me, but I can definitely feel it more with H. In my mind it's because his whole thing is going in and out, whereas with the uncut it kind of felt more like it was...stationary, since it kind of goes into itself before back out again. Kind of like the end of a click top ball point pen, if you know what I mean? I really don't think I'm explaining it well, so to sum up, there's definitely a difference. </div>
