Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

guest book

I have purchased a picture frame/guestbook to have people sign. I wasnt sure if I should just use this at the reception and have a formal guestbook at the actual wedding ceremony??. If anyone has done this in the past and has any info on what they did I would find it very helpful. Thank you!!

Re: guest book

  • I did the traditional guest book at ceremony and photo mat for signatures at reception. We used the photo mat as the centerpiece for the table which held the seating cards.PIB of both!HTH

  • At the ceremony, we are having all the guests sign the ketubah (formal Jewish wedding contract) as witnesses, so we are not having a separate guest book.  At the reception, we are doing a DIY "photobooth," and are having guests put a copy of their pictures into the book as well as signing it.
  • Why would you need both? If you WANT both, go ahead, but personally I don't see the point.

  • People will only sign once usually guest books are at the reception but never would I sign one at ceremoney one at reception
  • I am only going 1 guest book. I have never seen or been to a wedding were there is 2 guest books. Most people will only think there is 1 guest book. I only see the point of having 2 if your have guest only attending one and not the other then maybe I could see why you would have 2. HTH! GL!
