boo: I am feeling really down about my body
boo: FI's best friend sucks donkey balls
boo: I have quite a bit to do for the wedding

yay: 3 WEEKS UNTIL THE HONEYMOON. I am looking at new bathing suits to make myself feel a bit better. I think if I stop stressing about wearing a two piece (FI's dream for the honeymoon) and find myself some cute and flattering one piece bathing suits.. I will feel better.

  • I would LOVE some muscle, Rosie!

Problem is, H doesn't see it.  He just says things like "She had a crush on me, I turned her down, we're friends, that's it."  I realize that men are oblivious, I realize that I can be jealous, but...no.  I don't think so at this point.

What about a tankini? I'm a 14-16 on a good day, and I wear tankinis rather than one-pieces. They cover your goods, but still give you the two-piece feelings.

Yay for your HM coming up!!

<div>There are some super cute one pieces out there.  I just recently bought one and I feel way sexy it in, more so than I ever did in a bikini</div>

  • I was thinking something like this:
    http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/swim/solids/PRDOVR~45218/45218.jsp

But I have to justify another bathing suit to myself.

I just feel like a failure because I kept telling FI I was gong to wear a bikini on our honeymoon and I just don't think I will be comfortable enough to do it. I know I won't see the people there ever again and all of that jazz, but I am afraid I don't have it in me.

  • Rosie have you looked at Land's End?  My mom kept telling me to look there a couple summers ago and I thought they were all old lady suits.  But I gave in and looked, and loved it.  They have super cute tankinis and different kinds of tops, and they have way more flattering ones than I've found in stores.  And I just got an email today saying 25% off all swim wear.

Rosie, I am a size 6 but I have a belly. Nothing big but you know. I wear takinis because I can't stand how it looks in a two piece. When we went to Mexico, there were women who should NOT have had on a two piece and wore them proudly.

I said that when we go back, I am going to wear one too. No one there knows me, and no one there cares! Get the 2-piece for your HM and work it!!

She texts him constantly, tags him in pictures on FB that have nothing to do with him, asks him to come see her alone up at her home (a state away).  H hasn't been talking to her as much as he used to (especially since he's been so busy with work and his EMT courses), and not a single day goes by that she's not talking about him on FB and making plans to see him/get him to come see her.

When I moved, Comcast accidentally changed my phone number.  I received a call one night that was an operator telling me that I had a collect call from some guy in a correctional facility.  I called Comcast so fast to change that number!
  • Beach - Sorry to hear that, hopefully it all goes well.

Mery - I love that movie, although it frightens me greatly....

  • Rosie, that bathing suit is gorgeous!  And I ditto the tankini and Land's End suggestions.  I'm a 14 and I cannot (never could) wear a bikini, even when I was a pre-teen and was tiny.  My frame is just too heavy.  I looked pregnant in a bikini even when I weighed 110.

But Land's End has some gorgeous stuff that fits great.

Ask him how he would feel if one of your guy friends was constantly doing stuff like that to you.  Will that help him see that she's interested in him as more than just a friend?  Sounds like he needs to set some boundaries or something!  Or she just needs a beat down.  Either one.

That is a cute bathing suit! I am the girl who wear a one piece and a skirt so I am super lame. I went to a water park last year and wore a bikini for the first time ever since being 5 years old, and I was SO nervous. There were hundreds of people everywhere but I just thought it would be easier to wear a bikini, since I knew my skirt would probably fly off somewhere and get lost. My friends complimented me and my hubby loved it, so I felt okay about it. Just be proud and work what you got, I am sure you have got a slammin' body!!
  • Oh and Rosie?  You're going to a place where no one knows you with your brand new husband.  Go ahead and rock the bikini, seriously!! :)

DNB - Yeah, I figured it out, because I have the same one.

Rosie - if it makes you feel better, I'm wearing a bikini on our honeymoon for the first time since I was 12 years old .  I took a picture of myself and was surprised at how not bad I looked.  I think that sometimes we are way too hard on ourselves.

    ROCK IT, GIRL!
  • Bay, I would cut a biitch for sure. I would just give my H the death stare until he agreed with me, that usually works in my house :D
