I dated a man for about 2.5 years and I LOVED him.  LOOOOVED him.  I told him once and he never said it back to me.  NEVER.  So, I never said it again (even though I wanted to).  I had always hoped he would one day.  But, no, he never did.

I've said it to 3 boyfriends.  And also to one guy who wasn't an official bf, but we had feelings for each other for almost a year, talked for like 3 hours every day, but we were in different states and it was weird.  (I was a sophomore in college, what did I know...)

Just H. I started dating him my sophomore year in college though, and only had like 2 or 3 "real" relationships before him, so I didn't have many opportunities. I was more of a makeout whore than an "I love you whore." I guess I just preferred making out with friends instead of actually dating people. Hmm, I wonder what that says about me.

I've said it to a few guys, but only meant with H and one previous. With the others, one essentially blackmailed me to say it because he was so suicidal and 'needed to know someone cared', and the other was a rebound who I told that I thought I could love. A few months (or even maybe weeks) later I was like, 'WTH was I thinking? I couldn't love that guy!'... but at the time, I was so heartbroken over my ex that I wanted to believe it would be really simple and quick to move on.

Probably all 5 BFs I have ever had, but I meant it 3 times.
 I still love my first love, but just as a friend.
 
I was in love with who I THOUGHT I was in a relationship with for 6 years, but he turned out to be only a figment of my imagination. The real person is no where NEAR the person I thought I was dating.

Now, with FI, I am in love with who he actually is. So much different than before.

My makeout-whoreness has made my relationship with H interesting actually, since I managed to make out with 9 of his fraternity brothers in the year and a half I spent in college before him. I only slept with one of his fraternity brothers, and they're not that close, but I had made out with 2 of the 4 male members of our bridal party who weren't my family members.   I think H thinks it's funny now, but I really was kind of a groupie for his fraternity. His fraternity brothers are still some of my best friends, and clearly I don't make out with them anymore, so I think it has worked out well now

I was the RA (resident advisor) makeout whore. I only made out with other RAs on our campus. I made an exception for members of the Residence Hall Association. haha.
