My fiance and I both come from very large families. I had an idea that we could take 1 photo with each side of our family and then 1 photo of both families combined. Would this be a tacky thing to do at the reception? I was thinking of doing it on the tail end of dinner, after the toasts and before we open the dancefloor. Our hall has a balcony our photographer could use to get wonderful panoramic pictures of our families. Would this be rude since we would only be asking our families to take each picture? I can't see any other way or time to get all of our families together and I have always wanted a huge family portrait.
