The Lovely Bones

I read the book and understand the purpose, but every time I see a preview for that movie, it just looks depressing.  I don't think I'll see it.  What do you think about what you know of it so far?
In Response to Re: The Lovely Bones : The one who plays Susan? Did you seen Atonement ? She plays the younger sister, Briony, in that movie. IPosted by msmerymac
gosh, atonement is one of the worst movies i have ever seen. i'm having a tough time coming up with one that is worse! don't remind me lol.
  • I read the book and really want to see it. But after seeing My Sisters Keeper and having them completely uproot the ending I'm really not sure they could do a good job on the movie.

I loved What Dreams May Come. Also agree with PP that Atonement was one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

at one part i tapped on steve's arm and said, "this reminds me of fern gully!"

    LOL!
  • OMG Sarah, that's what I said when I saw the previews for Avatar. I told Manda, "That looks like Fern Gully with military clones added in for fun!"
  • WHAT?  How can you guys say that about Atonement?  That was one of the best movies I've ever seen.  The music, the scenery and cinematography, the story, it was awesome!  I was haunted by that movie for days after I saw it.

Honestly, i watch a LOT of movies, and so does Steve. Each of us has different taste, but we  both agree that Atonement was the worst movie we have ever seen! That includes ridiculous films like Fools Gold or The One.
  • Wow, we watch a TON of movies too.  I guess you and I just have different tastes in movies because I thought that one was one of the best.
