There must be something in the water, because they are going around like gangbusters.

Our idiot friend, the man-whore, mentioned getting married while he was over at our house this weekend. His GF is going to law school, and in order to prevent her from moving out of state, he is going to propose to her. I asked him a bahzillion questions about his preparedness for marriage (as in, do you know each other's financial situations, have you discussed children, how many, how will they be raised, their religious differences, etc.).

H and I both think this is a lame attempt to finally have sex with her. (By  way of reminder, his GF is the one who wears the purity ring, but does everything but put it in her vagina). If nothing else, this situation will provide many stories for you guys.

What qualifications do you have to be grilling him on his preparedness for marriage?  Marriage is not really something man-whores walk into lightly, and there are other ways to get his rocks off that don't involve a ring.

Did you mean to post this on Wedding Woes? The way it's written it's like we're supposed to know the backstory and then I looked at your past posts and they're ALL on Wedding Woes.

I've had TK move my posts a couple times.  Could be that's what happend here.  I responded to a post on my local once and it showed up as a response to a post 3 months earlier on an entirely different board.  (mine still said RE: what it was supposed to) Very strange.
