Who opened the flood gates?

Did someone ask everyone and their brother to post their invitation related questions here today?  I feel like I'm seeing things every time another friggin' 'who to invite' question is posted.  Isn't there an 'Invites and Paper' board?

  • Someone INVITED them, you could say?

  • I think we're all just assuming that the ettiquette board is the right place for the "who to invite" questions, which invitations and paper would be more the place for questions about letterpress, inner envelopes, etc.

    At least, thats my logic.
  • Fish, that was an eloquent response! :)

But how did they know who to invited?

  • There's also a pre-wedding parties board for all the bach and shower questions. Grrr.

  • It's not the necessarily the "wrong" place, Chelsea, it's just... overdone for 1 day.  Especially because it seems that all of the people with questions could probably have figured out the answer to the THEIR question by reading responses to previous questions.  *whew*

    You're killin' me, fishy.

  • Clearly, you can invite anyone who will bring me beer.

I think Knot Annie invited them personally.

And you're right Chels, this is probably the best place to ask those questions, just some days have themes and today invites is one of them.

The wedding questions don't bother me, it's just if the question could be googled or if it's already been answered today, that gets a little old.

This exactly.  I don't think anyone really cares what the nature of your question in (within reason), but if someone asked an almost identical question two posts down, you can probably get your answer there.  Even if your situation is special and different.

  • You may have answered the shower question, but nobody had asked about the bachelorette party!  Geez guys!

  • We've had a bunch on Invites & Paper lately too.  You're only getting 30% of the crap over here.

  • It's 2 months before end of May/beginning of June aka wedding season.  People are getting ready to send their invites.

As much as I love weddings, I hate wedding season. All the idiots who have no idea how to google or use common sense come out of the woodwork.
  • I like looking at people's pictures post-wedding.  Only part of weddings I get excited about.
