Complaints go here

Rick's brother is moving into his new place on Friday, and taking all of the furniture, and dishes with him. We'll be left with our bedroom furniture and a couch. He has no plans as to what we're doing about dishes, etc. /gripe

Re: Complaints go here

  • We might be getting rid of a recliner next week! We have a new sectional coming and don't think we have room for it.  Just sayin...

But yeah...that sucks big time when the roommate that owns all the stuff moves out.
  • I really wish my FMIL would stop being such a B*&^# and act like a mom to her kids.  I love my FILs, but I'm tired of having to be FSIL's mom when I'm here.  For goodness sake.

Also, really, if our BFFs could start acting like they want to be acquaintances at all, it would be pleasant.

    /rant.  Thanks - I needed that.

  • Berry, have I mentioned that he works @ Ashley, so it's not like he doesn't have access to furniture? I don't LOVE the couch and recliner we have, but I can deal with it. Not having cups, plates, and silverware? Not so much
  • My left nav bar isn't working and it pisses me off. FI flies out at 6 AM again tomorrow morning. Instead of spending $50 for him to park at the airport all week, I drive him and pick him up. Getting up at 4:30 every Monday morning is getting old. As is FI being gone five days out of the week. At least I have him on the weekends, though.

  • I've been eating like a crazy person for the last few days and its driving me crazy. No matter what I eat I never feel full, and I've been eating the weirdest combinations.
For example Thursday my afternoon snack consisted of cottage cheese, chips and salsa, pickles, and fish sticks...all within an hour. wtf is that?
  • Boo that sucks. I did totally forget he works at a furniture store.  Maybe you just need to get some cheapie kitchen essentials from walmart to hold you over until you get married and can register for stuff.
  • Katie, I've gotta ask...are you KU?

I somehow spontaneously gained .6% fat overnight, I weighed myself on wednesday or thursday and it was down, and after my fantastically delicious though carb heavy and fattening dinner of lasagna and garlic bread lastnight, it has gone up. I know it probably means nothing, I know it was probably my dinner and beer consumption making it happen, but I still feel like crap. Blaagh I hate my fat ass.
  • I am in a bitch on wheels mood today.  H just came home and is eating dinner, and even the sound of him chewing is pissing me off.

Why not just get some inexpensive sets for now, and then donate it when you get nicer stuff for your wedding? I got all that stuff from Kmart and Target when I was in college and it wasn't too expensive.

My gripes: My H is out having fun with church friends while I am stuck at home with the plague.

My best friend continues to be ridiculous, and not only do I not have the energy to deal with it, it would actually be nice to be able to lean on her for once.

I've put on ten pounds since the wedding. I know that's not much, but I need to put a stop to my bad habits before it gets worse.
  • Jill, my mom thinks I am. I've been feeling very weird lately. We'll know next weekend. *crosses fingers*
  • Yay! I thought you'd said you guys were TTC *fingers crossed for you*
  • This week has been very strange. Very bloated (could also be period tho), feeling tired all the time, eating very weird foods, getting winded after working out for just a few minutes, etc.

The true irony/best part, if I am, the due date would be Dh's true birthday (his legal is 20 days later).
  • This weekend sucks.  Yesterday was the funeral of our friend that committed suicide, and that was about as awful as you can imagine.  I woke up in the middle of the night last night stuffed up and unable to breathe, and have a cold today.  And it snowed a shitload yesterday and it's supposed to be spring now.  This is texas, we don't get snow in texas, damnit.
  • Koopa, I'm so sorry. I must have missed your original post about your friend, but that's awful. I hope that you are at least able to rest and get healthy this weekend.
  • Every time I swallow, it feels like somebody is rubbing sandpaper and vinegar on my throat. Gross. We're supposed to go to the FILs for a belated St. Patty's dinner, and I don't to move from the couch or change out of my fleece froggy onesie.
  • Oh, and I complain about all the tourists in DC yesterday. Within 5 minutes I heard two people say "Ugh, this city is so dirty, why can't this city be cleaner" and "Why did they plant all these flowers? Aren't we in an economic crisis!" and tons of people complaining about the cracked pots by the buildings

Um, hi, we just got done with massive snow storms a month ago, be glad all the snow and water has finally gone away.
  • Thanks, Opal.  We're doing better today, but yesterday was definitely rough.

I feel you, poli.  I don't feel like moving out from under my heated blanket today.  Hope you get to feeling better!
  • Poli, my favorite drinks for a scratchy sore throat are either mint tea with honey, or slippery elm tea. They work wonders for me.
  • aMrs, I'm to that point. Rick's been sick all week, and I'm at my wits end with him. He keeps heating up food and not finishing it, then letting it sit until it has to be thrown away. Grrr
  • Fi went on a private White House tour today that they had to run his SS# for, etc. for security clearance. He went with 2 work buddies and didn't invite me. I told him if he met the President I'd be super angry with him since he didn't invite me... thinking it wouldn't happen. Guess what? He met and shook Obama's hand outside of the Oval Office. I took a bubble bath today. That's my complaint for the day... actually probably for the wekk!

  • I've been working on the same Physics problem for 1.5 hours and I still can't get it right.  Dammit.
  • I've had the same printer for four years, and it decides to die right now, seven weeks before the wedding, just when I need it to actually, you know, print stuff.

  • I really wish DH would stop leaving various medicines on the breakfast bar. We have not one, but TWO medicine cabinets. Use them!

Andplusalso, I can't find my SS card. Stupid I-9 identity verification at work tomorrow and I have run out of places to look.

  • Katie, why is your H's birthday and legal birthday different?

and my complaints: I had fillings done last week and I swear, something is wrong with one of them. The tooth never hurt before, and now I can't touch it, clean my teeth or eat without it feeling horrible.

I have a feeling I'll be going back to the dentist this week.

    </strong>Posted by berryholly[/QUOTE]

What's worse is when the roommate moves out and wants to take YOUR stuff.  FI and I had a roommate a couple of years ago.  I was the one who went to all the trouble of finding a sofa and loveseat, and FI and I were the ones to use his pickup to go get them and bring them home.  Roommate decided that since the couches were more comfortable than his air mattress he was going to sleep in the living room.  We said go ahead, but we're not rearranging our schedules and giving up watching tv so you can sleep in a common area.  Then when he moved out, he actually had the nerve to ask me if he could take the couches since he "used them more" than we did...he also asked if he could have the tv (which was a gift to FI from his late mother).  We said no, roommate pouted then gave up.  Good thing, too...because when he had a falling out with his new roommate after 3 weeks he ended up abandoning most of the stuff he moved out with just so he could get out quickly.

  • Sun - He was born in South Korea in the early 70's. He was actually born on December 3rd, but apparently his adoption paperwork wasn't filed until the 23rd. So his legal birthday (listed on the certificate) is the 23rd even though he was born on the 3rd. Strange I know.
  • My complaint:  My FMIL tried one teeny tiny piece of cake from a baker at a bridal show in January, and she cannot understand why we haven't booked him yet.  His reviews are horrible and I don't want to go pay $50 for a tasting for a guy who has cracked fondant on his website.

She took offense to my FI explaining we did not want to work with him.  I think she might only like him because he is asian.
