Invitations mis-matched=tacky?

I'm quickly running out of money, and I'm trying to cut our costs as much as possible. I have already had my invitations printed (DIY) in brown ink because the design is brown demask scrolls.

Unfortunately, our printer completely died on me, and I can't get anyone to fix it. I've been told by 3 different tech smart people that it needs replaced.

So I have nowhere to print our inner & outer envelopes, our direction cards, or RSVP cards in the same color ink...unless of course I want to spend $90+ to have a printing shop do them for me.

I can, however, get them printed in black ink at my office for nothing. Do you think this would look tacky, being that it's completely obvious that there are two different colored inks used?

It's not my favorite, but I wouldn't call it tacky either. Can you print everything again at the office? At least then they'd all be the same!

I think this would be ok. Some people might even think you did it on purpose, to make the invitation a little more fancy, and others won't notice.

I PROBABLY wouldn't notice. Can you get them printed from Vistaprint? I cannot imagine it would cost $90 from there.

I would think that you used a different color on the actual invite because it is more special and you would want it to stand out more from the RSVP card, directions and envelope.  But that is just me.

I wouldn't notice and like a PP said....the envelope gets thrown out anyway and RSVP card is sent back to you.

Wouldn't notice. You have so many things to worry about...I wouldn't spend a lot of energy on something so small. Do whatever works and is easy.

Go for it ... nobody will notice! And if they  do, no biggie. If they care, they have way too much time on their hands to worry about stuff!

I personally have never gone around comparing invitations I have received with other people who had been invited to the same function.  Personally I would not stress about it.  Anyone who complains over having black ink on their invitations instead of brown like another person has too much time on their hands!  Do whatever you need to do.  Don't sweat the small stuff!
