So all my close friends and family live out of town so my mom offered to throw me my bridal shower. I did not think it was a big deal until all these people told me it is wrong for her to throw it.
My best friend from home offered to throw it at her house. I don't know if I want her to throw it because 1) her parents and family are not invited to the wedding 2) I just graduated college so me and my friends are not making a lot to expect her to sponsor the whole shower which would be awkward for my mom to just hand her a check.
I feel it may be more awkward having it at her house because "etiquette" says your mom cannot throw it than just having my mom throw it for me when she is more than happy to.
Have any of you been in this situation?
