Re: What's on your Christmas list?

  • A Kindle! Heh.

I also want a yarn swift for my knitting:

    image
    Lilypie Pregnancy tickers
  • Lego Harry Potter and Rock Band 3 for the PS3.

    A plane ticket to Florida.

  • If i can't have H, I'll take the next best thing.
    imageBabyFruit Ticker
  • A wedding.

Seriously, I don't want to spend much money, so that we can pay for the wedding in May.

I'm also sad (and pathetic) that I'm getting old.  My mom used to always do a big Christmas, and Santa would come.  But since I'm almost 30, I think the likelihood of that continuing is decreasing significantly. Frown

Christmas won't be the same until we have kids; I guess.

  • A very expensive sewing machine (Janome something or other)
    Gift cards to fabric place
    Cricut
Sure-Cuts-A-Lot program to go with Cricut
    Relaxing, special time with H.

"In the old days my ass would be in your back yard picking cotton, so excuse me if I don't put much stock in how f*cking awesome the old days were." -Nuggs
  • H is getting me Beauty and the Beast and How to Train Your Dragon on BluRay. I'll probably get him something off his amazon wish list.

We'll go out a few days before and buy some dishes off our registry. We got 3 place settings. Ideally we'd like at least 10. My mom said she'd get us a nice combo Christmas/wedding gift, so I'm going to nudge her towards buying a few place settings, as well. So we'll give ourselves a combination present of nice dishes.

And a new flat iron, since mine took a shiit on me the other day.  I don't know which one I want though.  I haven't researched yet.

  • Psh.  I haven't had a Christmas present in nearly 4 years.  Probably won't be getting one this year either.

  • I'd love some gift certificates to a department store where I can purchase all new make up.

    KINDLE

    MASSAGE

Aw, don't feel that way! We totally revamped our family Christmases as adults without kids (yet) and they are so much fun! We get to do adult things and schedule things to our liking, all the while knowing that in a few years it will be Christmas chaos with kids once again. :)

But, I totally understand what you mean.

  • I've said it and PIP'd it before, but we're moving next Sunday and these are our Christmas gifts to each other (and also kind of consolation gifts to ourselves for not getting to move closer to our families)

  • My family asked what I wanted, and I said GCs to C&B so I can buy more of our china.  Probably jewelry from H - we don't have room for much "stuff", and I wouldn't want clothes - I either couldn't wear them this year, or wouldn't be able to in the future.  But, I really want some warm house shoes.  Our house is COLD.  And it's not even really cold here yet.

  • The rest of mine are linked, BTW, just not sheets, since I don't have specific ones in mind.
  • With wedding planning FI and I got each other birthday/Christmas gifts - tickets to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra next month.  The show is actually the day of his b-day which is only 3 days before mine.

You mean not get up at 6am?

I still love the traditions of stockings and Santa.  But the amount of time we spend opening presents is dwindling.  It is nice to just relax in the house in your pj's for the whole day.

I would LOVE this, but I'll probably put this on my b-day list instead:

    www.lenox.com/cat/index.cfm?fuseaction=prod&pid=15475&kf=e1000&pagenum=1" title="Chirp platter">Chirp platter

I also need more place settings, but they're low priority right now. I have enough dinner plates, just not enough of anything else.
  • GB, is that all you need for winter there??
  • I think for the most part H and I will be getting gift cards for Christmas since he's not here and I'll have to fly home with any gifts anyways, so gift cards are much easier.  Then we can go out to eat and shopping once he gets back.

  • As I said in another thread -

New Birkenstocks (Taupe suede Boston soft foodbed clogs)

    Big suitcase for the honeymoon

New tires (yeah, exciting I  know, but I need them)

Waiting to meet the baby broccoli on 5/5/2013!

Ewwww mom! I don't like hearing what you and dad do when us kids aren't in the house! <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-kiss.gif" border="0" alt="Kiss" title="Kiss" />
  • Clothes. I haven't been able to buy new clothes in months, and after putting on a few pounds, many of the ones I have don't even fit.

A new chef's knife. We did not register for knives, so all I have is the cheapo set we got when we moved up here.

    A massage.

    Lego HP.
  • I am 30 years old, and my brother is 32, and Santa will still come to my mom's house Christmas morning and fill our stocking and leave us our Santa presents in the santa truck.

No shame in the Fishy house.

Well, I have a big puffy coat for when it gets really cold, so this would be for the warmer days. In the winter, I'm not outside for more than 10 minutes at a time, really. The average low temp here is high 20's/ low 30's.

My contract with Santa was terminated upon marriage. My 22 year old sister still gets visits, however.

    It's snowing again here. ;)

My grandma did stockings for my unmarried uncles for a long time, and even for a couple of years after, before they had kids.

H got this pan for my for my Bday last year.  I use it at least weekly if not more like 2-3 times.  I love it!
