Mornin

It is seriously hard to be at work today.  What a wonderful weather weekend!

Re: Mornin

  • Hi! I'm so happy to be back on a normal schedule, even if it means that I'm back at work! We had a good weekend. Yesterday, we were out pretty much all day. We got a little shopping done and then went to look at houses. We didn't  plan on it, but there were so many for sale, it kinda became a game. We sooo can't buy right now because we don't know where we will end up after H graduates, but it's got me dying for a house!

  • We sat outside last night, cooked on the grill and had a few beers.  It was heavenly. Too bad we're getting storms today and tomorrow it's going to be like 50.  Boo.

I hate when the weather tuns warm though and people get crazy.  There were 10 people shot in 4 hours in Columbus on Saturday night.  Like seriously people?
  • Morning...

I'm off today.  Then I have 3 long days at work then I'm on vacation for 4 days.  I can't wait to get back to civilization for a few days.  Malls, Chick-fil-a, driving faster than 30 mph, concert I can't wait to soak it all in.

Any word Stacks?   DH has another interview with NOLA today.

Both properties said DH was told he can bring his own staff (which is not unusual).  DH's staff are all wondering who will be the luck few.  I actually think there would be tears if he doesn't pick them.  They all are sick over the fact DH might be leaving and a-hole is going to be taking over.

  • Good morning.

I have been on the phone with a crazy woman who is ranting about the Catholic Church for the past ten minutes.  Happy Monday!

Have fun on your vacation, Lynda!

  • Good Morning! I'm a little sore after working in the yard yesterday. I hope the nice weather lasts a while.

  • Morning ladies. Back to the routine, but only 7 more weeks of school left this year. I'm majorly bummed - I glanced down at my e-ring yesterday and noticed a missing stone. I had the setting checked less than a year ago, but apparently that wasn't good enough.
  • Nope, no word Lynda.  They sent an email Friday at like 3:45 saying they were still checking some references or something like that.  Good luck to your H in NOLA today!  I would feel bad for the people he has to leave behind, that new guy sounds like he'll have a high turnover rate as soon as your H leaves.
  • Good Morning, Beautiful weekend here too but it's suppose to start raining and thunderstorming soon. Hopefully it stops by the time I get off work. :)

<div>oh no Sara.  I would be bummed also. Was it the center stone?</div>

  • Can anyone get on any of the boards on the Nest?

  • HI HI.

Lets see. Today is FI's first day as a federal employee, in fact he is getting processed as we speak. Hmmm. I have my first fitting tonight which is exciting.

I am so pooped though. I slept poorly for some reason and am completely dying of thirst for some really weird reason. Our water jug is almost empty and I don't have enough change to buy a drink :( DYINNGGGG

  • I tried to go to TN community, but it says Page Not Found.

One of my coworkers got engaged over the weekend. So exciting!

  • Good Morning!

We had a great weekend. Brand new riding lawn mower on the back patio. The dogs just couldn't wait to get outside to pee on it and claim it as "theirs". They're gonna freak the first time I actually start it up and they hear how loud it is. Going to spend the day looking for a strapless bra and shoes so I can get my dress altered.

Lynda and Stacks~I hope your H's get the positions they are seeking. Best wishes to both of you and them.

  • I am DYING for my nephew to get here. D was induced again last night and they just broke her water. So he will be here in 24 hours, regardless!

  • stackstackstacks I bought my first pair of "expensive" sunglasses this weekend!!! They really weren't that much but they were more than the $15 pair I had been wearing. :) I totally thought of you when I bought them.

</div><div>Funny thing Stacks is the corp chef has to give the final say on who takes that job.  While not outright said, the Corp Chef does not like him at all.  Actually denied him a position at 2 other properties.   P came in as an F&B director, so the corp chef has no control over that.  But I have a feeling there will be a big surprise when P tries to become both chef and F&B.</div><div>
</div><div>P is smart though.  DH has been trying to promote this one girl for over 6 months.  P would not let him.  Well the girl is being an offered a promotion today.  Thing is if she takes the promotion she is not allowed to transfer for a 1 year.   Basically he is trying to lock her in.  She is smart enough to know what he is doing and is going to wait until the end of the week to see if DH gets the job.

  • LVB -- I had to go through my profile on TN, then click on "Posts" and then I could access the boards.

Cfas -- I don't even KNOW.  She was ranting about how she was told to go to one of the churches down the street, which has an INDIAN priest and she can't go there because she's SPANISH and people might mistake her for INDIAN (not even kidding here).  Then she went off about how she joined the Mormon church for awhile but she never made sacraments, and then she started talking about how Obama sucks and the Republicans and Democrats suck.  Then she hung up after about 15 minutes.  Fun times.

You gotta wonder sometimes why people call people they don't even know to rant about such things.
  • Where is my posts? I usually find it from the boards lol

  • LVB - Yay!  That's so exciting!  Post some pictureswhen he gets here!  I love baby pics!

Ugh, I'm so tired I don't know how to make it through the day.

So my weekends sucked.  I took my truck to Canadian Tire for an oil change and when I went to start it, it wouldn't turn on.  WTF.  Turns out that there was the craziest coincidence of life and my fuel tank something or other broke at that exact time.  humph.  So now I am truckless and I just put $2800 into my truck and if this is more than $200 I'm going to cry.  A lot.

  • YAY Rosie!

Awww, Auntie LVB.  I hope she has a much better go of things today.  Hopefully the baby comes right before you get off work so you can go see him tonight!  :)

Lynda your DH's job sounds about as messed up as Mr Stacks job.  You just wonder the thought process on some of these bosses!  It gets so frustrating!
  • Lynda, furtunately it isn't the center stone, but still an expense (and heartbreak) I'd rather not face. The ring was my great-grandmother's, so the sentimental value is pretty high.
  • Good morning ladies! Sending more good vibes to Stacks & Lynda's H's!

Habs-- That majorly sucks. :( You have an F-150 right? J & I just applied for financing on a newer F-150 Lariat SuperCrew. Its so pretty. We are hoping we get accepted for a loan! How old is your truck?
    image
  • Yay LVB! I hope everything goes smoothly for her.

Habs that sucks. We had to put about $1,200 into Lucas's car right around Christmas. I'm pretty sure that was more than the car is worth. Tough pill to swallow.

  • I don't know what I want. I need to get the Boppy to them and if they've just had him I can't. They have a 2 hour no visitor policy.

  • Morning!! H has to be at work at 8 and he's still laying in bed. I keep asking him if he's planning to play hooky and he says no. This could get interesting. The weather was beautiful this weekend and today I woke up to gray skies. WTF? I'm going to miss weekends that are in the 80s. It'll be in the 100s next month, probably :-( Stacks, good luck to Mr. Stacks!! Lynda, I'm going to continue my cheer for you - NOLA NOLA NOLA NOLA!!! With H still laying in bed it's difficult to get back out of bed and put on makeup. Grrr
  • I'm sorry Habs.  I hope it isn't a big fix.  We had to put $3000 into our car right before Christmas.  It totally sucked big fat donkey balls.
  • Musical - It is an 05.  Apparently this problem is "common" with this style truck.  Umm???  I'm waiting to hear from my BM who works at a ford dealer in my old town to see how common it really is.  It's times like this where I wish I lived closer to her so I could still get my fancy employee discount for everything.

I have put almost 200,000 kms on it (almost 125,000 m) and a lot of those are tow miles.  I had to re-do my breaks because for a while I didn't realize my electric brakes looked like they were working but weren't so I was towing on my truck brakes.  So that was majority of the cost.

The new trucks are gorgeous.  I wish I could have a new vehicle, but Fl refuses to ever buy new or finance anything.  Oh well.  :(

  • Morning!  I slept like serious shiit and had some weird dreams.  So I'm sleepy and ready to go home already.

Still have my fingers crossed for the husbands!

Rosie-- First fitting is exciting! You're getting so close. :)

  • Thanks guys.  It's a total sucky situation.  The original cost of the repairs a few months ago was $4000 and that was right before Christmas, but I got employee discount from my BM who works for Ford.  But I can't take my truck there for this because it doesn't start at all.

Why are vehicles such freaking money pigs????
