Lurkers and Newbie-Oobies?

Re: Lurkers and Newbie-Oobies?

  • Fish brings out the cool newbs.  I, too, like them already.  And I initially read TXmom as TXMex so I like it.

I also like the smiling dogs in stinks pic.  I feel like I know those dogs for some reason.  Maybe I made out with them.

  • I've been lurking for the past 5 minutes. Does that count?
  • Can't even pretend to argue with that!  =(

  • Hi J&K! How have you been? Are you back home?
  • I remember once when someone told me that their dog was smiling at me.  2 seconds later that smiling dalmation was trying to bite my hand off.

I steer clear of "smiling" dogs.

  • Looks like I'm late to the party, but what the hell. I've been lurking for probably just a few months now. Although, I do post here occasionally. I actually just had my wedding like 2 weeks ago. About me? I like food, diick and/or fart jokes, video games, and my dog. This board is full of potty humor and it cracks me up, so I lurk pretty much all day at work.

  • If they like kissing then it is quite possible.  I often make out with dogs.  Full tongue.  I don't care who is watching.  I even used to make out with one of the K-9 unit bomb sniffing dogs at the casino...until he was forced into retirement for "losing focus".  I like to think that I played a role in that.

  • Alright why not. Lets see some of the info you might (or might not) give a crap about.

Hi! Im Breanne, getting married in April in NY....clover, black and white, pizza is one of the favorite things, I can drink tequila all day every day (that and kedall jackson chardonnay).

I don't think I could possibly pick a favorite poster, all of the regulars on here crack me up. And least favorite? Well that seems to change on a daily basis. I have been lurking about a week or two, my computer has been the suck so I havent been able to get on at home, and limited when I get on at work.

I need to post more because 90% of the time you guys are writing exactly what I am thinking. People at my hotel in Florida ask me how I can be in the south and so sarcastic...when I tell them that I am from NY it seems to make more sense.

  • I got the ring on Christmas Eve!! :) We were already planning the wedding before that, but I got a "real" proposal. It was sweet he told me the cat peed on my bed to get me to go into my room and there were roses and candles everywhere and when I turned around he was on one knee. I asked him, "you're doing this rightnow?" Haha.

  • I'll take the bait too.

Been with FI for over five years, moved in together after 18 months. We've each had a "bad year" where we were out of work (thankfully no overlap!) so we had to postpone plans to get married.

We're getting married in Vegas WITH Elvis because I'm a fan of Elvis and super-short weddings. I really don't like being the center of attention, so a huge event is not my thing.

Our colors were going to be fuchsia and orange with white and black accents, but when we started looking at dresses (I'm not wearing a wedding gown; I'm getting a bridesmaid's dress), he fell in love with a red one. So I switched it to red, chocolate brown and cream.

I'm DIYing my invitations, but getting other personalized accessories through the store I work in (hello, discount!).

I'm only inviting 15 people to Vegas and then having a reception somewhere at home. He loves to cook, and I do cakes, so we MIGHT cater/host our own casual party, but will probably do something in Little Italy or Greektown. Not sure yet.

Honeymoon?? Who knows where or when? We both work retail, so it's tough to get the time off.

That's pretty cool, 'cause you're funny and stuff. No kids for me yet though, I'm worried they won't react the same way to the laser pointer as my dog does. Talk about quality entertainment.

    Posted by stinkerbell6879[/QUOTE]

I was invited to a stipper pole bday party and sadly could not make it.  I think a couple strip clubs offer them too.  I think it sounds really fun, although I never would be able to do it in front of all my sisters in laws...but the friends...yes.

Hard Rock has a new club opening, Vanity, which will be awesome.  City Center just opened and they will have Haze and Eve.  Hard Rock is a sure thing, and so is XS at the Wynn.  Half of the club is poolside so nice when it is nice outside.  If it is summer, go to the pool parties.  Take advantage of all the amazing restaurants in town.

Many clubs offer special deals for bachelorette parties with the club and their corresponding restaurant.  Like The Bank at Bellagio does deals with their restaurant Fix, etc.  And as a group of girls, you should never have to pay admission.  There are usually guys that the club pays that walk aroud trying to get groups of girls in the clubs.

Also...see a Cirque show!  Love is my fav...all Beatles music.  City Center has a brand new Cirque show to all Elvis music.

  • I've posted a few times.

I am a Bears fan (How about that Vikings game!) and we are getting married in Vegas (also no Elvis) in November.

Our colors are Black/White--I was thinking Blue for an accent color, but that may change...

Um we've been together for close to 6 years, we were engaged pretty soon after we started dating, but didn't get married right away because I thought the engagement was pretty early and if it was real it would stand up to the wait.

I don't know about fav or hated poster, but I don't get the Pumpkin/Babycakes fued.
  • Um, I worship at the church of J&K, but I'm not really a newb. I'm just a girl with good taste. ;)

Jano, I think I remember nodding during some of your recent posts, like "mm-hmm that's right." I like when reasonable people share their opinions on here.
