Beatles, I'm glad you liked it! Silly H... More leftovers for you though, right? :) I'm thinking about making that tonight, actually!
Posted by polichik
Exactly, more for me! You were totally right, it was SO good and really easy! The sauce reminded me of my favorite dipping sauce for the fresh spring rolls at the Vietnamese restauarant here. And I didn't know what "chili paste" to use, so I used gochuchang (Korean chili and bean paste). It worked out great and my veggie friend was impressed. :)

• Yay for you, beatles!

And cocero, that really was upsetting. I know you didn't mean anything by it, but I'm grossed out enough by a steak or something :P
• This was posted today by a knottie (toadybug) on FB.

• Frustrates:  My boss was super cranky today.  She's always so calm and professional and today she was...not.  It sucked.  She was mad at me for not coming in 30 min earlier when the rest of the office didn't waltz in until 10 am or later.  I got there at 8:40 am.  WTF?  Even better, several people worked from home today without notice.  Lame.  Don't lash out at me because something in your life sucks.

Coco, remind me next time I'm reading a journal article that features autopsy pictures of shaken babies and I'll post them here, too!

Seriously though, wth? Why would you post that? Yes, I get that it's traumatic to see something graphic you weren't expecting to come face to face with... but please have some sensitivity and don't put others through the same. Not all of us have a stomach made of lead. You could have easily described what was frustrating/distressing you without providing a picture.

Coco, I feel that is really inappropriate to post, like against the TOS inappropriate.  Take it out, please.

• Coco, if you really want to post the picture, fine, but I would link it, and mark the link as Extra-crazy-graphic
• Dude, that picture should really get taken down Coco, or Squirrly.
That is disgusting. There are a lot of vegetarians here, and lots of people who just plain don't want to see that.

I'm confused, which one of the cow head remarks were LMAO funny to you? We were all pretty horrified by it. I'm genuinely curious.

• I once saw the autopsy photos of the brain of a baby's brain that had head trauma...

It was a true LOLROFLLMAOHIJKLMNOP kind of moment.

Only...not at all.
• I paged squrrly on invites, so hopefully she'll get rid of it.

Im sorry, and I might be wrong here, coco normally posts some questionably stupid stuff but this just takes the cake. I just cant get over the WTF factor of WHY that was necessary.
• Oh come on, guys. That can't be the first skinless baby cow head you've seen today. I was up to four by the time I got to work today.

Yeah, Coco, I kinda think it's too much too.  If I could have edited and just taken the image out, I would have, but I don't get that option on replies.  Sorry.

We're not sure yet.  Right now the most promising lead is working in AIDS education, which isn't what he has the most interest in, but he really just wants to get over there.  He is doing a double major, one of which is global studies with a concentration on conflict/wars. He has to figure out what he is doing by the summer, because he needs to be over there for at least 2-3 months before he can graduate.  Ideally he would be working with children who have been affected by the whole Joseph Kony/Lord's Resistance Army situation.

He can go anywhere outside of the country and work on anything conflict related, so of course I want him to go work in Canada at an embassy or something.  Bleh.

Also, is the cow head gone?  Or is it just not loading for me?  I'm morbidly curious honestly, but I'm definitely not going to be seeking that shiit out.

Edited to say:  Oh, apparently it is gone.
