Long Overdue Vent

This vent is long overdue...almost a whole year.

I'm not going to lie that I am super excited that our 1 year anniversary is on the 29th.  Time sure flies.  Not to mention that we are going on vacation for 5 days to celebrate and spend much needed time together.

This is the time I wish that we could open up a bottle of wine we had at the wedding, and watch our wedding video.  The wedding video that we still don't have.  :-(

Since we only planned the actual wedding in 27 days, we made alot of quick decisions.  Everything worked out.  A fellow knottie at the time gave me the name of her Future-Father in law to do our photography, and then volunteered to do the video for free!  I was so excited.  Everything worked out great, pictures were fantastic and affordable...and she was there and took all the video and some cute little clips of one on one with each of us.  She stayed the whole time obviously, enjoyed music, cake, and dinner.   But now I find us a year later...she has been ignoring my calls and emails, and I still dont have that wedding video.

I told her it didn't need to be edited or anything.  That I would pay for it even.  Still no response.  I'm just sad that I may never see that wedding video now  :-(

I know wedding videos take a while to be edited but a year really seems like an effin' long time to me.

I'd say your vent is definitely justified.

Not that I know of...her name was DebiDaniel or something of that nature.  I went to school with her at some point and we had a couple mutual friends...but she seems to have disappeared.  What I'd like to know is why would she even want to keep it?!

Oh no, not her! She was a total sweetheart. But she hasn't been around in about a year.

She made an appearance about a month ago, for one afternoon, and that's it. 

Did she end up getting married?  I thought I heard some drama about things being called off.  In any case - not cool.  Maybe your mutual friends could intervene on your behalf?

Maybe it's not that she's keeping it.  Maybe something happened to it and she doesn't know how to approach you about it. Still not justifiable, but it's a thought.

This really sucks. Best of luck with it though!

Have you tried contacting your photographer (the dad) to see if he knows what's up with the video?

I would contact the dad, but I don't have his information.  His form of a receipt was just writing it on a piece of Stationary.  Which was fine, like I said he was just an amateur photographer who did it on the side.

As far as she goes though, I'm going to try to find out if there's anyone who still talks to her.  I can't find her wedding website online anymore, so I don't know if they broke up or whatever,

So, I get that you want to find her, but I don't think it's at all appropriate for you to list what she's doing, where to find her, or any of that kind of personal information.

I'm sorry.  I didn't think it was personal information.  I thought it was kinda cool that she was auditioning for Glee.

Just removing the link for privacy purposes.  I don't think it had any personal information on it...but I can understand how it would be considered innapropriate for me to post it. 

Off to work now, so if I don't respond for several hours, that is why.

And for the record, that sucks, and I'm really sorry about your video. I hope you can track her down somehow.

Debi was such a sweetheart. I think she was going through a rough time, though. I hope she's ok, and hopefully you'll get your video sometime in the future.
