I think we'll do table visits at the reception. A receiving line seems to formal and doesn't allow for much time with each guest. Plus with 150 guests it would take awhile. At 30 seconds per guest, that's over an hour of standing in line.
  • Our plan was to go table to table. We were supposed to exit the ceremony to a private area and have a few moments together while guests were ushered to the cocktail hour. [QUOTE]We did table visits. We did a few tables at a time between courses, so it wasn't so overwhelming as greeting everyone all at once. We also liked it as it gave us a few minutes to chat with everyone, as opposed to the usual "Hi, thanks for coming, next..." Also, table visits are much more common and expected in my culture.

This (minus the culture thing) although our wedding was only 100 people and I was able to say hi to about 50% of our guests during the cocktail hour.
