Evening?

Re: Evening?

  • I could really use a glass of wine. It's annoying that the liquor stores close at 9 around here. When I have my own place, I'm sure I'll keep wine in the house, but I can't do that here, or my 19 year old sister will probably "borrow" it.

  • Josh Turner does indeed have a sexy voice. I love "Would you go with me."
    imageWedding Countdown Ticker
  • I love almost all Josh's songs. But "I wouldn't be a man" ....yeah, that is definitely the song to get me in the mood, like instantly. Holy crap.

    [QUOTE]Angel I hate running out of wine. H built me a wine cabinet for Christmas a few years ago and he's sweet enough to help me keep it atleast somewhat stocked. Point of story? Come to AR and I will share the wealth of wine. ;

Dude, I need one of those when we get a place. Except FI probably couldn't build it, even though I'm sure he'd think he could.
    imageWedding Countdown Ticker
  • Lol, Edie. Of course he is country. :) Honeybee is a cute song.

  • Rach, I'm sure you mentioned in an earlier thread, but I missed it. How was the lake this weekend?
    imageWedding Countdown Ticker
  • She is, Edie. Kinda folk countryish. But that was before my "time" of listening to country, hah. I'm trying to go back to the old days of country for some more old school stuff, like in the times of Johnny Cash and stuff.

  • I think I mentioned this here last summer, but my brothers visited Nashville last summer. My cousin lives there and is a VP at the Opry. So he goes hunting and fishing with Blake & Co. So my brothers got to meet and hang out with Craig Morgan before his concert that they went to. I WAS SO JEALOUS.

  • Rach, the beach was awesome... so relaxing. We're using the shore house for my friend's bach party in 2 weeks and I can't freakin wait to go back down. I may even try to make a day trip down before that. It calms my nerves like nothing else.

  • Are we talking about country music?  I know Drinking Bone.  And Chicks Dig It.

  • Yes, adkins, Edie. I love Trace, he is awesome. His voice is so distinguishable.

You should, Holly! Its pretty funny.

  • I want a wine cabinet. I am way more handy than h so I will probably be the one to build it. I did buy a vintage bar cart recently though, so I am really excited about that. It is going to be the centerpiece of my new apt haha.

As in HonkyTonk Badonkadonk, yes? Great song, haha. I've seen him in concert too. I think twice, opening for Toby Keith.

We sort of have a shore in MN.  But...not like an ocean shore.  Giant frigid lake shore.  But I like it.  Oh, and giant muddy gross river shore.

  • Trace opened for Toby? He seems like a big enough act that he wouldn't open. I'm not a huge Toby fan though.

  • MuSu, yup... I think the concerts were 2 and 3 years ago. I bet now he wouldn't open for anyone. Toby and Brad and those types usually have fairly big names open for them though. Miranda opened for Brad a year or so ago too.

  • That makes sense, Angel. Miranda was here like a month ago and I wanted to go so badly.

But when someone says "the shore" I think OCEAN shore, goon.  I THINK I MADE THAT PRETTY CLEAR.

I bought $50 worth of spices online tonight.  I bought two pounds of taco seasoning.  (and other stuff too)

  • Good evening! I love the big country fests, but they gave gotten too expensive. Stupid ticket robots. But Miranda Lambert rules. I met her backstage, a friend of mine worked for a country station and got me and my friend backstage to meet her.

Well, I never claimed to think right!

I hope they'll last awhile.  We went through 8oz of their taco seasoning in 4 months, so I'm hoping two pounds will last at least a year.  Love that stuff.

  • I feel all out of place in this thread since country is like the one genre of music I can't stand well besides super old stuff like Johnny cash. Unfortunately I am moving to the part of the country where all radio stations are either country or rap with nothing in between. I'll take rap any day though.

  • Country and really heavy metal/screamo are the only things I don't like.  We have tons of country stations around here, and it's obnoxious.

  • Evening ladies.  whew is it warm and humid in Western NY
  • I wasn't into country until I started being in horsebarns 24/7 my last two years of high school. I was able to relate to it. I can't relate to most rap, nor most pop nowadays. My radio is usually on NPR lately. I grew up with musical theater soundtracks. Musicals, now that is a genre everyone should rock out to!
