Forced to go to the gym!

This is my first time posting, but I have loved all of your advice/thoughts over the the time Ive been lurking. The number 1 thing I learned from you is that no one cares about your wedding as much as you do!

I just recieved an email invitation to a Bachelorette Party in Las Vegas, and I thought point 5 on her list was funny and that maybe you all could use a little chuckle too!

"5. AS YOU KNOW, I HAVE GREAT TASTE IN FRIENDS, and I am hoping to take lots of hottttt pictures on our trip, so LADIES START VISITING THE GYM, LETS ALL GET IN SHAPE for this opportunity".

I didnt realize going to the gym was mandatory to go to a bachelorette party! While I already go to the gym, I am still happy to have legitimate excuse to not go.

Have a great day everyone! :)

  • hahaha!

If I wanna be fat, I'll be fat, damnit, and if i'm too fat to be in your hott pics, then you shouldn't have invited me to partake in your wedding! God know's I'll mess up those pictures too ;)

    This is great!

  • I would love to know what points 1 through 4 are. And I like how her party is an "opportunity" for you.
  • O_o Shouldn't girls know better than telling other girls that they're fat?  That's the nuclear bomb word in the ovary-inclined world.

  • When I hear these stories I wonder if the person has always been cray cray or if their impending weddings made them that way.
  • That is awful. I'm also curious about the other four points. And if the bride is sending out this email, is she throwing her own super extravagant b party?
  • Wait, tell her you can't because that cuts into your Knotting time!  Heehee

  • Why is the bride planning her own Bach party?

You would be amazed and appalled at the number of brides who tell their bridesmaids to "get in shape" or they can't be in the wedding. I see it on TLC all the time.

Psst... reality TV isn't always real. YWIA.
  • Yeah, I get that, but I've also seen it while lurking the boards. I'm just sayin'... it isn't a new thing, and it's sad that it doesn't even surprise me anymore. I've had ex-friends ask me to lose weight for their wedding. Notice the "ex" part of that phrase.

  • I'm wondering what the first four points are.  And what is this "opportunity" ?

    That is funny!
  • I don't think she thought this request through. Wouldn't she want everyone else to be carrying a few extra pounds so she looks hotttttter in comparison?
