  • Ah mah gah, kiki, you're gonna love it!! Just remember that the first couple books are all about getting you introduced, and they're geared more toward kids. Once you get hooked, you can't stop. (Why would you want to?) The last five books are more meaty.

    Yay!

I'm warning you: it's the start of a damn slippery slope.  You will become obsessed.  But it's a fun obsession.

  • I was so excited that the library actually had all of them.  I almost just checked them all out... just in case.  I think I'm going to have to go back tomorrow, though.

  • Question about audiobooks: is it usually just the narrator reading the books, or are there different voices for different characters?

That's exactly what I did. I started with checking out the first three, then when I finished the first book and returned it I checked out the last 4 all at once. I wish I wouldn't have because now I am hurrying trying to finish the 7th one but at least you can re-check them out twice.

My mom used to listen to the audiobooks while she was quilting. I believe it's just one narrator.

  • Oh Kiki, I'm kind of jealous that you're at the beginning and have so much awesome-ness ahead of you :)

I read the first one shortly before the 4th one was released and my boyfriend at the time (who introduced me to HP) said something along the same lines and I totally get it now.

  • The audiobooks I've listened to is usually just one narrator, but they adjust their voice for speaking as different characters and it's really effective at keeping you in the story, so to speak.

  • My commute is only 20 minutes each way so I have never tried audiobooks. but I love to sing and dance in the cah.
