Food... for a budget bride :)

Hey ladies! So, sadly I think I've posted this question before, but I can't find it sooo Im posting again :)We were originally going to bring our own food for the reception (family and friends were going to help us make trays of foo) but after giving it thought, I don't think that'll be the ideal route for us.We're looking for hor'dourves and maybe a little pasta and LOTS of fruit. . but we're trying to find a vendor that is around 10-12 a head. . Any suggestions?? :)Also, We're 4 months out and I probably am alright with time, but Im still a little panicy :( I like to know things are set and ready to go *sigh*

Spring Cafe (located on Spring Forest Rd in Raleigh) has a catering business that is associated with it. They are less than $10 a head for good food (pretty much any type of food you want) and the servers all wear tuxes.

How did you find out about them? I couldn't find a website. . are they ok with people just walking in and asking them about their catering?

Mediterranean Deli in Chapel Hill might be kinda far but they're awesome and have great prices. Plus, tons of options!

Have you thought about ethnic food? You can probably get a full Mexican meal for that amount, or maybe Chinese or Thai. We used Saffron, a really nice Indian restaurant that's almost always on the list of best Raleigh-area restaurants, for our rehearsal party. (My husband's Indian, but most of our guests were American and everybody loved the food, even my very rural eastern-NC family.) We had appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert, Indian bread, salad, rice, all for around $9-$10 a person. Their service charges may be more if you want them to serve for you, but they'll do drop off and the food's amazing. You may also want to look into Whole Foods for appetizers, etc.
