[QUOTE]Okay, I would have gotten the message if people had just said "No". No reason to add rude comments that I have to ignore. Sorry I'm new to the wedding world and am unsure of what is acceptable these days. Perhaps if instead of working and going to school full time I spent my days at home watching wedding shows I would know better. I think twelve year olds would be less condescending than some of you people. Maybe I'll go to Yahoo answers and ask them because at least they wouldn't add to this already stressful situation with snotty replies to a fellow wedding person just trying to figure it out.  To those who responded patiently, thank you. To those superior weasels who know who they are, I hope your wedding day is awesome and you don't get divorced two years later, which is likely.

  • OP you have a PM
  • I was just going to say if the (immediate) family happens to know that your sister is doing a vow renewal and you or the  family want to and can  swing it it you could offer it as a gift to your sister beacuse you want to not because the event calls for it.

I hope your sister has a wonderful vow renewal and you enjoy helping her.

Well, I know better and I've never seen a wedding show, am a full time graduate student working on my PhD, and teach as well.

Superior weasels?  I'm going to find a use for that...

  • Ridonculous. Bwahahahah
Daisypath Wedding tickers Lilypie Kids Birthday tickers
  • No, it is not.  It is never okay to solicit money for ANY type of gift, since guests are not obligated to bring a gift.
  • Is anyone else picturing a weasel wearing a monocle when they see "superior weasels"?

I am now.  Except I'm not exactly sure what a weasel looks like.  I'm picturing a fatter ferret.
