It's sad when...

When my most-visited web page is the error screen. This blows. Enough bitching, i know.

Re: It's sad when...

  • it's sad when...my facebook status gets more action than p&e.
  • It's sad when...

I know exactly what the error code says when it pops up.
  • amoro, your object reference is not set to an instance of the object (or something!!!!!!)
  • It's sad when..

I could have fixed the damn thing myself by now. Morans.

  • ... I just posted a complaint of my own and didn't even realize this one was already here BECAUSE I COULDN'T OPEN IT!!!
  • Sorry to break the trend, but I have noticed that if I get the error page if I click my curser into the address bar and hit enter it will go to the page.  It has worked for me every time.

It is still annoying that you have to do it, but at least it is better than missing out on a thread you want to read.

Sorry if you girls already knew this (I have not been on the knot for long).  Hopefully I can help at least one person!

  • That's what I've done too, reedelm.

  • I take back the "it has worked for me every time" part.  For the past day or two it has worked every time, but today it has taken a few tries on a few threads.  Atleast it seems that it works better than the refresh button.
  • ...the right page actually shows up and I'm so not expecting it that I end up pushing the refresh button again and end up on the error page.  Again.

that's what i was thinking, too!
  • I understand that it is the same as hitting the refresh button, but for some reason it only takes one try most of the time and the refresh button takes three or more for me most of the time.  I do not know why it works better, but for me it does.  I just wanted to share what I found.
  • It's sad when a visit to P&E leaves me feeling less intelligent than when I first stopped by.
