NWR: Favorite Recipes

I am post-wedding, pre-pro picture receiving, and I need a project.  I think I am going to start a recipe folder (and make it super cute).  So, I would love some recipe ideas from others:What are some of your favorite recipes to cook?Where do you find your recipes? What is your favorite late fall/winter recipe for dreary days like today?

I like to try all sorts of new recipes. I'm a very visual person so I like to see the food. I love to watch food network. If the food looks tasty, I just go to their website to get the recipe.Prepare pasta al dente I love baked mac & cheese but I don't have a specific recipe for it. But you melt some butter in a pan, add flour to it and cook it for about a minute, add a few cups of warm milk and simmer until the mixture thickens. Then you add cheese...I use different kinds each time I make it. You can also add other ingredients to season it (I've used ham and it was delicious). Mix this in with the pasta in a baking dish. Sprinkle some more cheese on top (sometimes I add seasoned breadcrumbs to the top as well) and bake for about 30 minutes at 350. You can find recipes online but after I made it once I just started making it differently each time with no recipe.

Hum, the one I can think of off the top of my head is cream cheese fruit dip. It is so easy to make and so so so yummy. You need: 1 bar of soft cream cheese, 1 jar of marshmellow fluff (7 oz I think), a small can of diced pineapples, and fruit. Mix the cheese cheese and jar a fluff together in a bowl till well blended and smooth. And a couple tablespoons of pineapple juice. Cut up the fruit (I like to do strawberries, pineapple with cherries, canalope, melon, etc). Serve cold. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! maybe I'll bring it to game night!
