Escort Cards

When making escort cards, how do I handle guests who are brining a friend or an older child as their  plus one?  Do they go on the same card or each have their own cards?

It depends what you are doing for the other escort cards.  Are you only doing one card for a married couple?  If so, I would probably add their +1 to their card, to be consistent.  I am doing a card for everyone.

I am planning one card for per married/engaged/dating couple.  I just didn't know if one card was appropriate if a guest was just brining a same sex friend.

I did one card per couple, but their kids got their own cards. I'd probably give a friend who comes as a date their own card, as well.

I will be doing an escort card for each invitation I send out. (that respond yes of course)

    for instance:
-if I invited John and Jane Doe, that will be one card.
-James Smith and Family will be one card
-Betty Jones and Guest will be one card
-Sue Blank will be one card (and so forth)

My escort cards are luggage tag and are also a favor for each couple/guest/family. Additional sweets are available for all the guests to take home.

EDIT: I also don't have a food choice and am only placing guests at tables, not seats. Guests will choose their seat at the assigned table.

I made one escort card per guest, but we had a plated dinner and color-coded cards were how the venue's servers knew what each guest had chosen as their entree.

I served as a "date" for my (girl)friend whose husband couldn't make it to the wedding. The card just said "Mrs. Best Friend and Guest". Usually if a person isn't bringing their spouse it's "So & So & Guest" (or sometimes the name is mentioned if you know who you they are bringing), if they are coming with a spouse it's "Mr. & Mrs. Whatever"...

this is how I've seen it anyway. GL!
