Knee length veils

Anyone wear a knee length veil and have some pictures from the back, especially showing hairstyle and how it overlayed on the dress? Where did you get it, if you did wear one?

Thanks, pals.

  • I love your dogs.

Oh, veils?  I have no idea.

  • Haha, thank you. Dog compliments are just as welcome as veil pictures.

  • I didn't wear one, but I got my veil from eBay seller valuveil.  It was cheap and I got a lot of compliments on it.  A veil is a veil is a veil, so don't waste a ton of money on it.

I did try a knee-length one on, though, and really liked it from the front, but when we took pictures of the back it looked kind of weird and made the dress look kind of weirdly segmented.  So, I went with a cathedral instead.

  • I like your dogs, too.  I want to cuddle with them.

  • Brie - Thanks - I've been looking at valuveil for a while. The prices are great - they're not too stiff though, are they?

Kiki - they would probably be down for it, but you need to committ to cuddling BOTH at ONCE. Trust me. One at a time doesn't go well for anyone involved.

daff - I didn't know that name for it, thanks very much!

  • TJ, I also came in to say how happy your dogs make me.  Mr. Penny isn't a dog fan, so I'm dog deprived--I'm up for the double cuddle :)
  • AW: Sheldon, the shameless napper -

Ok, but seriously. Someone had to wear a knee length/waltz veil, right? I'm finding a lot of pictures on google, but mostly models or without good images of the hairstyle.

How is valuveil so cheap?  I'm thinking about getting a cathedral from them as well.

  • My veil from Valuveil was exactly the same as every other veil I tried on in the store, except it was 5% of the cost of those.  The tulle is high quality, same comb and everything.

Veils are the single biggest racket in the whole freaking wedding industry.  It's tulle and a plastic comb.  Tulle is tulle is tulle.  You can buy it for $1.29/yard at a fabric store.

  • My veil was from valuveil too.  It was perfect.  No way I'd spend more on one.

  • I don't have anything helpful to say about a knee length veil, but my veil was from valuveil and I loved it.  It wasn't stiff at all.
