NWR: Dog Pumpkin

So today has progessed towards a better day slightly. FI is still having a really rough time. . it really kills me to see him cry. . . anyways, to try and cheer him up, I decided we should carve our fat little lop sided pumpkin he picked out the other day. . We used the dog stencil from a message that was posted on here a little earlier. . Aww that turned out so well!  I hope that it puts a smile on your FI's face, as well as yours.  I have to say, I wasn't that crazy about the lab stencil at first - it didn't look right on the pumpkin on that site - but lit up you can really see the resemblance!

Yeah. . I agree, the lab stencil looks rather funny . . and my pumpkin looks pretty funny, but it works. . I think we might go get another pumpkin tonight and do another stencil

So cute! I completely understand the crying thing. FI grew up on a farm in VA. His pony died about 2 years ago, and he was really upset b/c he ha been home for a day not too long before that and didn't go out to see her. He cried quite a bit, and I felt horrible to see him so upset. But in a way I was happy to see how emotional he was about it, that he was sensitive like that. It was a side of him that I had never seen before, and I really appreciated it b/c I am the same way when it comes to animals. He wasn't too macho to let his feelings about an animal show. That's nice to see.
