  • I like them all... but picked #3

  • I can't decide but I love your remodeling polls!  I get to live vicariously through you.  And I want those floors...badly.  If I ever come to visit, pieces might disappear.

  • I'd go for 2 or three. They match the painting and the matting on the picture better.

  • Okay....I went with #3.  The amber color in that picks up the earth tones in the floor and in the painting.

  • yeah, i suck at this too. they're all so different. i don't really know which direction to go here.
  • #1 doesn't match the other stuff at all to me.

I like #2, but it might be too white.

I would prefer if #3 were more open like #2, but I think it's metal tones are better.

My vote is #3 if you can't get #2 in a warmer metal.
  • I chose #3, unless #2 comes in a gold or bronze finish as well
  • bee, if you ever come to visit, things will not disappear. i keep close tabs. i've also decided to keep the existing fixtures, so that if/when we sell the place, the new stuff comes with me. the new owner can have the old fug stuff.

as for the flooring...it's been an odyssey trying to find to flooring i picture in my head. i finally found it, but i still have to find out if they can hone it to my liking.

I'm glad I'm not the only who does this.

#2 does come in a bronze finish. h thinks it's too "contrasty" though.

  • I like #2 best, but voted for #3 because I think it goes best with the rest of the decor.
  • Oh, I like the bronze finish much better. He thinks the leaves and flowers are too contrasty? To me, if you're paying enough for a light fixture, you want to be able to see it, as opposed to it fading into the ceiling. That looks much better than the white with your other finishes.
  • #2 in bronze is pretty but #3 is still warmer somehow to me. Maybe because it's enclosed and gives more of a glow?

I won't steal your floor so there's no need for you to check my suitcase.

  • he thinks the darkness of the bronze would be too contrasty against the whitish walls/ceiling.

    wtf does he know though?

i wonder if i just screwed up my own poll.
  • The whole point of having an awesome light fixture is the contrast against the ceiling. You need to make him see the light. Pun intended.

My vote is still #2, in the bronze finish. Your poll is indeed sort of messed up now. They should let you edit those too.

  • I still vote 2, especially seeing it in the bronze. Contrast is good especially if you have other bronze-y aspects to tie it in.
  •  I love #2 and #3 but I voted for #3. I feel like #2 is too matchy with the painting.

  • 2 in bronze, definitely.
  • I voted for 3, but I need to change it to 2 in the bronze finish. That floor, painting and lighting are amazing together!
  • I just want to say that I can't decide either but I think your house is going to look amazing.
