In Response to Re: FFF : I must have missed that part. I do like how andy stuck to her guns (even though I do not agree with what she said at all) but still apologized while sticking with her beliefs. I get annoyed when people on here say stuff, then get called out and try to take back or completely change what they said. I'd rather you piss me off and say how you really feel than try to takesie backsies for the sake of sugar coating or making me happy.

  • I flame LC for pointing out that all newbs use the "To be or not to be" as their basis for thread titles.  Now I notice it every.dang.time.

And it is starting to drive me batty!

    Tongue out
  • Gosh I am so late to this but I agree with DNB and the nightly thread thing. It has stopped being just a chatty thread, now it is only about how much everyone drinks. I do not care if people drink but it seems like some newbs are drinking since they think the regs are drinking.
  • Sorry got stuck on a work call.  Yes it was for the obesity comments.  Nuggs not only was defending her, but also giving valid points to Andy's argument.  I still think there was a lot of BS in the original debate and the one on AYG, but it's over with.

I've heard that too, but I'm not sure where.

EDIT: Missing a word that makes that sentence say two completely different things. Way to go brain.
And I have to agreet that you have hot legs LDY.  My legs look like tree trunks, and I would take yours anyday.   Also, I'm doing the complete opposite of FFF, and give a major thumbs up to Nuggs for her defending Andy in the AYG thread.  I thought it was pretty awesome.

I'd like to second that thumbs-up.  She basically defended AND clarified because it seemed like some people didn't remember the exact things that I said (always helpful information while flaming).  MS did too and I thank her for it.

Speaking of zombies, (and down goes FFF once more) did anyone watch the new show "Happy Endings" where they compared hipsters to zombies?  I think that the show is actually pretty funny!
  • I admit, I will occasionally have a glass of wine if I see y'all chatting about what you're drinking (not that I'm on much at night), but that's only because someone mentioned it and I think "Hey, that's not a bad idea."

You'd think the red wine sitting in the decanter on my shelf would be enough to bring it to mind, but no, it takes the interwebs.
Nuh uh, see, people weren't just like 'I think it's wierd you eat separately."  People were all "I think it's wierd you eat separately, you might as well be roommates, and oh yeah here's a bunch of studies about why not eating all together at the same time is bad for your family."  So no, Emily, people were not judging my eating habits, they were judging my relationship. <strong> The minute "you might as well be roommates"</strong> and studies about how not eating together somehow damages your family came into the discussion, it stopped just being about eating habits.  And adding "but do what's best for you" is BS.  If someone rolled in here all "I think it's wierd that people say they're Christians but don't go to church.  How can you have a relationship with Christ if you're not going to church and interacting with a minister or preacher?  But do what's best for you." people would "WTF???" out. So yeah, I still flame you and Bubbs for that ish.
    Posted by NuggetBrain
I NEVER said "you" might as well be roommates. Sheesh. I said that for ME and my H, WE feel like roommates when we don't eat together. I flame you for misreading  and then carrying on acting like I was judging your relationship. Wtf would I care what you and your H do? I don't judge what other peoples' eating habits are within their household, it was a discussion about what eating together and I wrote what we do in MY household.

</div><div>I don't know if they are drinking because other people are, but that would be lame.  I just feel like now it's to the point that a lot of newbs start posting in there thinking all we do is talk about drinking, or the only way you're allowed to post in that thread is if you're drinking.  Obviously I'm not going to judge you for drinking at night, but you don't need to drink for us to like you.</div>

  • I could get down on some drunken zombies.

  • I totally understand that hearing others talk about wine or drinking could make you want a drink.  I think my main example is Nurse.Misty, who I feel now always posts about her drinking and/or drinking habits.  She just rubbed me the wrong way the day she started a post at 1pm my time about how she has the jack daniels and not wanting to be judged for drinking.  I think that's where my main aggravation with the night thread started.

  • LDY, DH won't get to see your sig, since I think he might insist I either get your skirt/wear stuff like that more often, or just decide "Hey! She's a Hottie!"

And I'll have to send him to bed without any supper ;)
