Future Mrs. Appropriate? No?

I ordered my thank you notes for my shower and thought it would be cute to have Love, The Future Mrs. Smith on the cover. I had a tiny feeling that maybe it was inappropriate, but I had them printed anyway. 

I talked to my Month Knotties and many (many) of them did the same thing. I would like your opinion on if this is appropriate or not? I can't shake the uneasy feeling that someone is going to side-eye me. What say you, E friends?

I don't like it.  But then again, I'm annoyed in general by the amount of FutureMrskLastnameYear that run around here.  If I received one, I'd probably side eye a little, then toss it in my box o cards and move on.  It definitely wouldn't get put up on the fridge though.

As long as the "future" is included, I think it's fine. I only think it's really really weird when ladies start using their husband's name before the wedding.

Eh, I wouldn't care too much. I'd be like 'Aw, that's cute.' And then move on. But that's just me. I guess it just depends on your friends and family, I guess?

I wouldn't side eye that part of it, but rather wonder about pre-printed signatures.  I was very adamant that my Thank You notes be entirely hand-written.  It not only showed time and care, but also allowed me to put 'Sincerely' where 'Love' was maybe not appropriate. (It would have been really weird to sign notes to my Hs single guy friends as 'love').

I toss all thank you notes after FI and I read them so I don't think it makes a difference.

Yeah I don't dig the "Dollar Store thank you kind of girl" comment either. That comes off very condescending. There are many girs here that wrinkle their nose at the thought of dropping lots of money on super special personalized TY notes, as well, but no one has made you feel badly because of it. I would do the same.

I think it's cheesy but would be fine with it. For people talking about having a pre-printed signature, OP said this would be on the COVER of the TY. So I am assuming she is writing a personalized, handwritten message on the inside of the card with her handwritten signature. This is simply what goes on the cover.

I think it's appropriate because it's a pre-wedding party, hosted mostly for you (bridal shower, not couples' shower). It's cute, but not very original. If it's important to you, then go for it. Completely unnecessary (and don't knock the dollar store, them's fightin' words) but whatever. Theoretically, how many times are you going to get married? Like... at the most, six right? :P

Definitely not as a pre printed message, it's on the cover.. My apologies for the dollar store comment. It was not intended to come off that way and I am sorry for offending anyone who was. I am one who personalizes everything. The bigger and fancier, the better in my mind and that is all I meant by that.
