Officiants

We are currently looking for someone to do our ceremony as we are a non-traditional couple and are not getting married in a church.  We were going to be using a friend of the family, but that has fallen through.  Reverand Barbara Lodge was recommended to us. Have any of you used her?  How was that?  And, what is average cost for officiants?  I have no clue what is an average price range, and didn't include it in the budget!

We used Robin Renteria and she was awesome - I think her total fee was 450.

Barbara Lodge is great!  We're paying $500 for her but that includes rehearsal and unique ceremony.  She has other packages if you didn't want to customize your ceremony or if you don't need a rehearsal.  Let me know if you have any questions about her!

Depending on where you are getting married, we are using Rev. Skip for our Topsail wedding next year. It's $400 I think for both the ceremony and rehersal. Nathan and I did a phone interview with him and he just was awesome!

We use Rev. Rebecca Nagy & I cannot say enough good things about her. The ceremony she performed was beautiful & totally fit us as a couple. It was $400 for a customized ceremony (she has TONS of vows to choose from & will let you write your own as well). She lives in Charlotte, but will travel.

We used Rev. Lodge and she was fantastic. She put everyone at ease on the wedding day, and we received many compliments on the cermony she wrote for us. We paid $500, and it was well worth every penny.

We're using Rev. Carolyn Craft of Durham. Paying 325 for just the day of (very few guests, don't need an extensive rehearsal), for her driving to and from Wilson. She is absolutely wonderful, incredibly accommodating to our civil ceremony.
