Regular makeup vs. airbrush..

Which are you using?

At 1st I was going to use airbrush since I thought it would last longer but the more people I speak with, including artists who use both methods, are saying that regular makeup lasts just as long as airbrush.

Which do you prefer, which are you using, which did you use, and why?

I've had my make-up done both ways, and the airbrush lasted a lot longer than I felt the traditional did. For my wedding, my make-up was done at 11am and my ceremony was not until 6:00 - and even after all those hours it still looked fresh. It lasted the entire night for me. I wear a lot of make-up on a daily basis, and I know after a few hours it starts to wear off on me. I liked the airbrush and if I was to get my make-up done for something else I'd get it again.

I've only had regular done and as long as my MUA uses primer my makeup lasts the entire night plus it comes out flawless.

I've been told that airbrush isn't that much different just more money.

it depends also in your skin type. For my wedding I used airbrush and I really saw a difference. I use primers for regular makeup but with a primer and airbrush it really lasted.

I actually have great skin... Just two small scars that need coverage (you can barely see them but I want to be sure).  One MUA just told me that she likes the look of the airbrush in pics but regular makeup in person.  It's a catch 22.

Normally I just use tinted moisturizer on my skin and I am good...  I think I am going to do a trial with both and choose from there... I like hearing what everyone else's opinions are too- I never rule out anything when it comes to topics like this.

My girls and I used regular makeup. My MUA said it would last just as long as airbrush (I didn't do an airbrush trial so I can't really tell you if that's true or not). But my makeup did last all day (10:30am-2am) with the exception of some false lashes that decided to fall off during our first dance.  But that's a whole other story.

    Hi!

I just had my makeup trial this past weekend and decided to try airbrushing. Now, I am torn between whether I should get the airbrush or regular. The airbrush always seemed thick on my skin and itchy, but I don't want the regular makeup to wear off during the day. I will be getting my makeup done in the morning and our ceremony isn't until 6:30pm. My makeup artist seemed indifferent between getting one over the other. What to do...what to do?

I had trials with both and thought I liked regular better, but in the end went with airbrush.  I think it depends on who does it too... one MUA used airbrush and I looked like a cakey pumpkin, but others made it look flawless.  GL!
