Bachelorette Party Ideas

Hi Ladies -
So I'm trying to figure out what to do for my Bachelorette party... what are you ladies doing?  Have any of you been to this Club 4sixty6 in West Orange?  I'm thinking about doing a dinner and then going out to a club or something - but I have no clue where to go!!

Maybe I am reading this wrong, but you're planning your own bachelorette party?

Its one thing to tell your girls things you'd LIKE to do... or are OPPOSED to doing.... but you really shouldn't be PLANNING your own Bachelorette Party.

I guess it's a good place to go if you want to see female house dancers in bikinis

Just trying to get an idea of what to do or where to go really ... my sister is planning the party basically but we don't really go out all that much so just trying to get ideas of good places to think about going....

define a "good place" and I think people can better make suggestions to you.  What types of things do you like to do?  Also what is your age?

By good place I mean somewhere that has good music a nice atmosphere - not a college bar or some hole in the wall dive bar type place.  I'm 30 - the girls range from 26 - 40.

So I guess you are set going to a club?  Girls in their mid 30's may not fit in a club atmosphere full of teenie-boppers or may be far removed from that scene.  Are they even into that scene anymore?  I would poll the group and see what they are interested doing.  I am sure people can give you alternative ideas.

That's the thing ... we all love to dance - and even though we may be "removed" from that scene we would like to find a scene where we all fit in and can enjoy ourselves.  Hence the reason I'm asking for ideas here - to see if anyone on the board has been to any clubs/lounges lately that aren't so "teeny-bopperish".

I'm sure there are, I'm sorry I don't know of any to recommend.

not sure if your looking for a night away, but.. AC is a nidea. you can have an awesome diner then go to one of the dance clubs.  I've only been to the Borgata, but I had a great night.  We brought our own liquor, had dinner at Bobby Flay's then danced. It was a good night.. :)

For my b-party, we met at my apartment for heavy apps and drinks (pre-gaming makes everyone's night cheaper!) and went to R Bar in the city to dance.  They have a nice mix of music and poles/platforms in the back room (don't judge, haha).  After R Bar, we went to Sing Sing for karaoke in a private room.  I was 30 at the time, and some of my BMs were older than me, some were younger.  People said they had a great time.

4sixty6 is definitly a mixed crowd I think all the girls would enjoy themselves there...there is also Park East which opened up recently in Hazlet that is nice and Chris Michaels ( these are all placed you can have dinner at and then party).
Palm Bar in Morristown if in summer is fun
Or you could always venture down to AC there is so much to do down there and many great clubs- The Mixx, Dusk, Providence
    Good Luck and Have Fun!

I second the AC vote. I love AC. Borgata is awesome--great mix of ages. Though it can get a little expensive if your BM's are paying for most everything....

However, just to warn you, the AC venue might make it more likely that people will get out of control. I was MOH for a bachelorette party in AC and some of the girls were a little too crazy for my tastes. I guess it all depends on who's going and what their personalities are.

The shore is also fun--maybe a little more mellow (and cheaper) than AC.

Great ideas Ladies ... thanks so much!  I don't think we're gonna be going to AC though, it can get a little expensive and out of hand - LOL.  I've never heard of the breakfast club before ... also Kareoke might be a fun idea!!!
