Wedding Venue Help

I know I've already posted about this before, but I need some help finding a suitable venue in Northern or Central NJ. I live in Hoboken, so somewhere not more than 1 hour away would be ideal. I really like Lake Valhalla Club, but my parents didn't like the food, and since they're paying, I'm looking elsewhere. But would like something similar, in a country setting, preferably on some sort of body of water, and affordable with good food. I'm not into wedding factories, I want something more unique.

Thanks :)

Brooklake Country Club is really nice and it overlooks water on the golfcourse.

Michael Anthony's just opened in Jersey City right along the waterfront, but I don't know anything about the price or the food quality. It might be worth looking into.

    Perona Farms might work well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've been to Brooklake Country Club for a quick tour, it was very nice and I'm still considering it. Also thought you should know, my wedding is small (50-60 people), so that has to be taken into consideration too.

Definitely want to keep it under $125pp, but am willing to go up a little for quality, but I don't think my parents can afford much more than that.

What about The Mill in Spring Lake? They have a smaller room and has a pretty lake.

Hi! What about the Liberty House in Jersey City- totally not a wedding factory and the views are amazing.

The Madison Hotel is where we booked. My fiance and I also live in Hoboken and wanted to find something that would work for both our families. There is no water (which is what I wanted too), but the food is really good and the value for what you get might be worth checking out.

    Good Luck!
